I just got my copies of Unfit for Command from Brad's Grandma and there are still quite a few to be delivered. For all of you who posted to her that you wanted one, please get ahold of her ASAP so she doesn't get stuck with a big bill. Also, for those of you who have sent in your checks (or will), drop her an email with a cross reference of your screen name with the name on the check you sent in so she can mark you off correctly. Anyone who had reserved one and hasn't contacted her will be getting an email from her in the near future. Let's take care of our commitment to her!
My compliments, ma'am.
Thanks for the ping!
Well now....if THIS keeps up, I'll just have to do this all over again! Would I? In a HEART beat!!!
Please put me on your fall back list if you have leftovers.
Thanks for your efforts.

Dear Brad's Gramma:
Thank you for doing this. I have been following this topic (availability of UNFIT FOR COMMAND) and decided to order my own copy, if I could. I ordered one copy from Waldenbooks (the only chain bookstore in my town of 30,000 - and within 350 miles). It took about a week, and when they called, I found the copies prominently displayed.
There is one independent bookstore here which has two branches and also sells used books. They claim they can't get it. Three times. Especially the branch near the university.
If you have any left over you need to sell, please let me know and I will purchase one.
Regards, :-)
This thread is really making me proud of my fellow freepers!
You're not the only one...!!!
Well, I read my copy the day I bought it, and the information laid out in the book made me so mad I had to DO SOMETHING, so I donated it to the library immediately - just dropped it into the return slot with a note. I need to get another copy for reference anyway. :-)
BTW, I looked at your photo page, and that is a very cute baby you have.
You gave yours away? Good job.
Well, if you can drum up another 45 or so people, after I get this order all taken care of, I'll do it again. I seriously mean that. Last time, I didn't even start a thread, I just put the word out there, and within 24 hours I had all 50 sold. Some VERY kind folk paid me, on faith, to send them to our troops.
So? Anything to help errrrr......irritate Kerry. Bless his heart.
Oh. The baby? That littler feller isn't mine. He's the grandson of a DEAR friend of mine!!! I think he's mighty cute myself!!
Awesome suggestion about the donation - I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the comment on the picture; he is now 4&1/2 and has a little brother 2&1/2. Thinking of them in the situation faced by the Russians recently really hits me in the gut.
BTW, I was born and raised around the thumb joint....have Da Yoopers put out anything new as of late?
THANKS, Petronski!!! This was/IS! a lot of fun!!!!!
Freepers are the BEST!
Mail!
......and replied to! :)
What a great thing you did BG! You are the woman! :-)
So? Have you read it? Huh? What were you doing online?
OH! BTW! We went to B&N last night. Some kind soul decided to take ANTI Bush books and stand them up oh so neatly in front of the other PRO Bush books.
Hey, Lurker...if you're out there reading this....the efforts you tried to accomplish last night in Irvine didn't work. Bless your heart for trying though. I took them away and put them somewhere else.
Thanks for the Bump!!!!
Oh, and Merry Christmas! :)
Yes.
No, no I didn't read it.
Okay, I read some of it.
I wish I knew. All I have is the old "For Diehards Only". There are definitely "newer" releases than this.
I'm not a Yooper - but I can translate. . . :-)
