After a rousing night of rallying Republicans at their National Convention, the First Couple hit the campaign trail once again with stops in Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. During the rally in Wisconsin, President Bush informed the crowd of the impeding bypass surgery for former President Clinton, and wished him well. The audience supported the President's words with applause. He also asked supporters to pray for the victims in the Russian hostage murders. Thanks for the Friday night Dose, rinny.
Heard that the rally at Lackawana Stadium near Scranton was a HUGE success. One guy said about 18,000 people - and plenty more turned away because they closed the roads earlier than they said.
This is democrat country - coal mines, economically depressed for a while for a while, etc. Hopefully our W is getting the Reagan Democrats on his side.
