I wouldn't have posted this as a separate topic until I heard on the radio on the way home from the rally that the AP had reported the crowd booed when it was annnounced that the former president had been hospitalized. That is a bold faced lie. I understand it was later retracted, but that's like unringing a bell. I do not think it was in error, either, since the writer further stated that 'Bush did nothing to stop them.' Shameful.
The rally was amazing. I don't know how many were in attendance, but the crowd could not have been more enthusiastic. I could be wrong (but I don't think so) but I don't think there's any question Bush will win in Wisconsin. I have worked for campaigns before, and been to rally's before, but I have never witnessed the fervor I did today.
I have pictures in one-hour processing right now (I am resisting the purchase of a digital camera) and when I get them back, I'll try to post them. If anyone can tell me how to do it, please FReepmail me.
Just e-mailed Brit Hume at FOX. Perhaps there's enough time to squeeze this little tidbit into his show for the evening. He's pretty tough on media bias, so I hope he can help get the story straight.
The story has been pulled
I am so glad you posted this. I heard the audio on the radio and was even impressed with the audience reaction of cheering for Clinton. Hey, I even said a prayer for him.
The press just sickens me! I hope they have to eat crow for all of eternity! It is now posted on Drudge that they are retracting.
a little off thread, but why do you think Snopes isn't reasonably accurate ("thrown in with the DNC")?
got a particular page or topic they have screwed up on? I only ask since I somewhat rely on them for disproving urban legends and such.
I was at the rally today and there were no boos. Everyone applauded in joining with the President who sent his well wishes and a speedy recovery to Bill Clinton. A very kind crowd in regards to Bill Clinton. No Boos.
No problema chicken.. ;)
Yipes! Time for me to come clean, Mr. Carr!
I shamelessly stole your wry comment for my tagline below, and only attributed it properly ONCE! I tried, I swear, but there's just not enough room to do so without altering the brilliant message therein.
Please forgive me!

You can't possibly be an eyewitness, because you weren't in the same boat with Clinton....errrr...um...the same hospital bed with...um......
....
uh....
HALLIBURTON - BAD!
Ed Asner behind this?
Of course, it would be quite callous for anyone to have actually booed. A Bleeding Heart with a clogged artery is a very, very serious matter...
Eye witness account. Thank you. Man, the press will try to get away with anything these days, eh?
I've got that covered. My doctor told me the 50 mg tablet of lithium per day will prevent them from taking control. As he says, a lithium a day keeps the Bildebergers away!
However, since I've opted to keep my fillings, I can't take the plywood covering off the front of my TV, lest the Latter Day Saints© (a division of AmWay) come into my living room and disrupt the order of my life - and its very fragile, you know.
Invest in NiCad batteries and a recharger, much cheaper.
