I wouldn't have posted this as a separate topic until I heard on the radio on the way home from the rally that the AP had reported the crowd booed when it was annnounced that the former president had been hospitalized. That is a bold faced lie. I understand it was later retracted, but that's like unringing a bell. I do not think it was in error, either, since the writer further stated that 'Bush did nothing to stop them.' Shameful.
The rally was amazing. I don't know how many were in attendance, but the crowd could not have been more enthusiastic. I could be wrong (but I don't think so) but I don't think there's any question Bush will win in Wisconsin. I have worked for campaigns before, and been to rally's before, but I have never witnessed the fervor I did today.
I have pictures in one-hour processing right now (I am resisting the purchase of a digital camera) and when I get them back, I'll try to post them. If anyone can tell me how to do it, please FReepmail me.

Same here in Scranton, PA today. Thousands of cheering
people. One whole section of doctors in their white coats, holding up signs, "Doctors for Bush!" Another section of uniformed firemen and policmen. It was AWESOME!!
Listen to Mark Belling at WISN Milwaukee: www.newstalk1130.com
A kind FReeper who is far more technologically advanced than myself is going to post some pictures I emailed him from the rally.
Ummm... Whitesmithing too ??? ;-))
.
Ack!
Lou, Mary, Ted Baxter, etc, lived and worked in Minneapolis, MN, NOT Milwaukee, WI.
Thanks
I watched the Wisconsin Bush rally, and there was NO booing when President Bush announced President Clinton's hospitalization. AP reported that there was. When he sent his best wishes to Mr. Clinton and asked for prayers for his quick recovery the audience applauded. Why was that not reported??
AP should be honest and just announce that AP is supporting the Kerry-Edwards team in this election by propagating lies about the Bush-Cheney campaign. AP's biased reporting in favor of the Democrat nominees thinly disguised as actual news is disgusting.
Note to self: Never believe anything reported by AP.

I should have told them how I REALLY feel about their lies, but I doubt they care.
They are also reporting that AP sent out an updated news report deleting the part about boos and President Bush "not doing anything about it." The nerve of these *-*****!
Since the AP won't release the writer's name, perhaps some of the attendees that were libeled by the demonstrably false report should sue - then the reporter's name would be available!
The bush campaign should find out who it is and kick the reporter off the campaign trail - then tell the press they did it because they couldn't sit back while the good people of wisconsin were lied about.
Then bush wins wisconsin in a walk.
Keep up the pressure.
It's a calumny. I want that person fired. It attempts to make Bush, his supporters, and the people of Wisconsin look heartless.
Results 1 - 10 of about 460 for Scott Lindlaw +bias.
Results 1 - 10 of about 160 for Deb Riechmann +bias
They should be sued for practicing journalism without the appropriate skills.
Good strategy. I like the way you think.
It's finally off that page.
And better...go to that link and look at the respective photos of GWB and Kerry from their service days.
I thought Bush was at his finest hour last night in NYC. He moved even the American media, although they hated to admit it I'm sure.
The AP traffics in blatant anti-Bush propaganda. I agree the person should be fired. They won't be.
On another thread I pointed to another sickening example of their deceit that still enrages me. That Iraqi bombing of insurgents that the AP insisted for weeks was a "wedding party". Well after our military provided evidence galore that there was no wedding party AP was reporting that there was.
This time they were confronted heavily and hard with proof (video, audio and witnesses aplenty who were starting to scream it from the rooftops) that they had lied and so they made their many revisions.
They are disgusting.
Hey Scott;
You name is tagged all over the I-Net as a potential reporter that lied (for food) about (*) Bush, Wisconsin, and audience "boo-ing" comments re: Wm. J. Clinton.
Can you tell me if you wrote this false article? You know, a google search of "Laidlaw + bias" yields 480 'hits'. Not quite in the league of Ron Fournier (8,670) or an Adam Clymer (2,060), but you are getting there.
Are you the author? If not, you may want to flush out the perp, if for nothing else to get the hounds off your trail coming next week.
(*) Suggest once in a while your refer to Bush as President Bush, unless such respect is a career ender at the AP.
I hate the media. I really do.
They say anything they want whether it's true or not with only one goal in mind........to defeat President Bush in November.
Fortunately, he is going to win BOTH Wisconsin and Ohio in spite of their lies.........and sooner or later they will pay for what they are doing.
