Welcome aboard. Take your shoes off and set a spell. Lots of us have Libertarian leanings, but we have to be pragmatic.

I think someone here once said. If you weren't a democrat as a kid and a republican as an adult then you never went through a full life experience.

It is a combination equivalent to the perfect storm:

Zell, Arnold, Swifties, people will not begin to pay attention until after Monday, then you will see the landslide take shape.

60/40 Bush seems possible.

"In Philly three predominately black precincts, voter turnout was 110% of registered voters "

Out of idle curiosity, how is this possible? At my district in Peoria they have a list of the registered voters and as each votes, they are checked off. It's not possible to get more than 100% of the vote.

If you came from another district, I suspect you'd be told where to go vote.

Carville on CNN teasing next segment asking "what in the world got into John Kerry last night?" Sounds like he might be buying into the "drunk Kerry" theory that's been floated here. Tune in!

I agree. The President closed the sale with the American people last night. He offered an optimistic, forward-looking vision of how to help Americans cope with change and in making the world safer for liberty. All Kerry can offer in contrast, is more talk of Vietnam and defending the failed liberal policies of the past. Freepers and Friends, its no contest.

Thanks for the clarification. I was just about to send the Swifies another hundred bucks.

And the Time poll doesn't take last night into account!

I saw her (Dowd) yesterday on Aaron Brown's show...and she was so condescending. You could see the hatred in her face as she was denying disliking Bush...saying she just likes to tweak the powerful. We are watching a real implosion, as even Carville is stuttering and stammering on his show right now.

I just don't want Kerry too badly beaten to soon. I want it to be a slow process, point by point over the next 8 weeks ending on the evening of November 2.

i'm sure some are commenting that Time poll is nothing but "repug" supporting and far-right leaning...

MSM must be having a hard time getting Zell's boot out their asses. I hope Gergan sucks on this one hard.

Yes... President Bush could easily be FDR. The Democrats have no figure of national stature like him. All the Big Names for 2008 are in the GOP. I don't envy Hillary picking up the pieces of a shattered party in time for the 2008 election.

In Philly they do things differently

answered that she was not going anywhere and was 'happy.' But she spoke with a tightlipped grimace and deepy depressed tone

This IS a leftist's definition of "happy."

A regular Algonquin roundtable, that.

A bet a lot of people won't get the reference, but I do, and it's quite clever.
