If Bush gives a more eloquent speech than Zell [is this possible..LOL] he will ride a double digit lead into the debates.

Pray for Bush!!!!!

Based upon the time frame of the poll, it looks like this is a “Swifties bounce”. With the successful convention and the Zell and Bush speeches, these numbers are believable.

Jusy Woodruff just got caught thinking she was off camera and saying "I don't know, She says there may be something wrong with that poll and there's another one out that shows them even"..Then she looked up and saw the cam was one and about sh*t.

LOL! If they were smart they would use the flames to make s'mores.

As it is, we can only watch the smoke billowing up and know that something really, REALLY bad is occuring.

The poor slob can't even get his pop culture reference right. It would be Jason Vorhese at an all-girl camp, Freddy Kruger's place of learing menace would be something like a dream research center.

I'm out of the loop on the "Presidente Ezequiel" reference? Can someone tell me what that means?

In the movie, The Dancer Upstairs, which was based on fighting the leftist Shining Path movement in Peru, whenever one of its sympathizers got caught he/she would scream insanely, "VIVA EL PRESIDENTE EZEQUIEL!!!" One of the characters was a seemingly normal dance instructor but when she was revealed as a Shining Path sympathizer she started screaming "VIVA EL PRESIDENTE EZEQUIEL!!!" in a complete change of character. The point being that when many of the seemingly normal Democrats finally realize that Bush is going to be re-elected, they will have a similar mental meltdown moment.

You sort of have to see The Dancer Upstairs (great movie) to get the full effect of the insanity of the people screaming, "VIVA EL PRESIDENTE EZEQUIEL!!!"

I think amurkans also realized that W pulled off a terra-free convention in the middle of target city, blocks from ground zero - in the face of a silent osama. We may not be out of the woods in the WOT but we have made strides. And W has a proven record of protecting us.

Elections are won by ideas and candidate appeal, of course, but they are also won by the most focused and disciplined campaign. The GOP we saw on display this week was the most disciplined and well-oiled machine I think I've ever seen.

Now this is what I call a bounce. Kerry is about to be handed his a$$ to him on that silver platter he gets his PBJ sandwhiches on. And it's only gonna get worse. He's had his convention, chosen his VP. Nothing's left that can save him. This is why he's calling midnight rallies.

I wonder what kind of panic the DU is in. I haven't dropped in on their board. But I'm guessing they are doing 1 of 2 things. They're either 1) crying up a river or 2) making up all kinds of excuses.

Hey Kerry! This song is for you!

NAH NAH NAH NAH
NAH NAH NAH NAH
HEY HEY HEY!!!

GOODBYE!!!!

"Tell you what... Bush gets ANOTHER 10 point bounce in the next couple of days. Then watch the libs really melt down!"

Nah. He won't go higher than 60% before election day.

What the polls DON'T measure (and remember this) is who votes. If a lot of Dem's drop out (I expect this) then you 62% prediction will come to pass on election day.

Or more. ;)

Garbage can over the head time!

Carville is unusually subdued for some strange reason. :-)

Oh, never mind, he's probably just worried about his friend blubba.

I agree, but there is never any accountability for them, particularly the network-driven polls.

The MSM mantra, when it is rarely acknowledged, that the GOP constantly under-polls because we have answering machines and don't talk to pollsters, is NONSENSE.

We over-perform on election day (as with 2002 midterms) because we are deliberately under-polled to prop up the RAT numbers throughout each campaign.

,I>Senator Kerry *must* throw hail Mary passes in the 3 debates. You know it. I know it. Shrum knows it. Heck, even the lowbrows at DU know it.

Kerry: "I threw a Hail Mary pass in the debate that matched the real Hail Mary pass my favorite college player, Dan Flutie, threw when he played for my favorite Connecticut college lacrosse team, the Boston College Celtics".
