I'm not asserting that he hasn't been a heavy cocaine user, but if they're planning bypass surgery, that would be to correct a specific problem with a different cause (overeating > overweight > high bad cholesterol > clogged arteries > blockage). As someone else on the thread pointed out, however, the effects of heavy cocaine use cause specific problems which complicate bypass surgery.

As much as I dislike the man, I hate to see this happen to anybody. He is a human being, and I will be praying for him. Maybe this is what it will take to turn him to God.

Thats your view, but the truth is the OFFICE is to be respected. He had no respect for the OFFICE he held.

Respecting Clinton and respecting the OFFICE position he held are two different things..

Perhaps it was that they didn't want the visual of MSG filled with GOP conservatives publicly praying for the safe recovery of the former president. That would have been too stark a contrast compared with the leftist protesters outside. Could be. I'm proud that we can maintain the high ground. Something tells me that if Kerry can capitalize on Clinton's misfortune, he will. Perhaps I learned that during the Wellstone memorial.
