Too many Big Macs, interns and money to spend = heart problems galore. It's a recipe for a bypass or four.

He could've had the heart attack a while ago? They wouldn't do a bypass right after a heart attack, would they?

Ah come on.

I don't want to sound like the DU website freaks.

Bypass surgery is certainly not uncommon.

He will do well, and I hope he does. He deserves to see American turned to the light, out from under the shadow of the liberal girlie men who hate her so much and re-establishing herself for what she has always been.

We pray for our enemies because we are told to by our Father. He'll deal with the rest.

Then why say it?

Then why question it?

I hope our former President pulls through, too.

Only desparate, infantile losers (like Sean Penn, British Rock Stars, or the NYC protestors) could ever wish physical ill on their idealogical opponents.

I also hope the DNC, the LSM and loudmouths like Moore, Carville and Jesse also know better than to even hint at exploiting this.

12:24pm... Roger Hedgecock just reported BJC had a heart attack and is in the NYC hospital. Doesn't quite jive with an elective proceedure, does it?

These people wouldn't recognize the truth if it were looking them in the face. C'mon lib-dems, re-arrange some more deck chairs on your Titanic.

"I hope you're all Democrats" ... weak smile ...

"Sorry sir, you took care of that 12 years ago, but don't worry, we are proffesionals and we really care about people .... we'll have the form for you to sign to switch parties when you come out in recovery ...

OK people, let's go in .... "

You don't think it was Zell Miller's speech, do you?

1. I sincerely wish him a speedy recovery.

2. FWIW, saying "the timing is suspicious" is humorous and within bounds. Wishing him ill is NOT. Let's not descend to the level of the nutbags on the other side.

3. Some liberal somewhere will find a way to say.... "IT'S BUSH'S FAULT."

Come on, folks, we are the people who say prayers for people. Even him. Maybe he will make peace with his Maker.

"He is young to have all these health problems"

He's had a weight problem off and on over the years and also drank pretty heavily at all those WH functions. In addition, there's the coke nose. Coke is not good for your heart. He has been known as a lot of things, but an athlete or fitness freak has never been one of them.

Timing isn't really all that suspicious. If I were Bill Clinton, and I ate all those big macs, and then saw Zell trashing the D's, I might have a heart attack too.

I wonder how they're reacting over at DU.

Oh the usual, a few of them are concerned with what FR thinks so they can criticize.

Agreed.

Heart surgery is a serious thing. I wish him the best. I am no liberal; I do not wish harm or death upon those I do not like politically. I will not dehumanize Clinton in the way the left dehumanizes Bush.

He is a human being, and I will not follow the liberal path of hatred on such an issue as life and death. How easy is it to pray for those we love? Even the hypocrites do that.

I will pray today for his health and his recovery. I encourage everybody here to do the same.

It may bring out talk from the pundits about how convenient it is that Clintons will not be able to campaign for John F. Kerry in the closing 60 days (why the surgery right now?...etc), but I will give them the benefit of the doubt. It is hard to fake heart surgery.

We are classier than the left. Let us show it.

When you juxtaposition the two men's political careers and their lives against one another, what do you see? Equals!? Juxtaposition Bill Clinton's non mainstream media record to Ronald Regan's record -- what do you see?

What I see has nothing to do with the relative merits of the two men. Reagan was the greatest president of the 20th century... Clinton was among the worst.

Now having said that, we have a polarized electorate with a good portion of independents/undecideds out there who are looking for a reason to go one way or another. The vitriol of the Left after Reagan's death, and the street filth that filled the streets of NYC this week have moved the independents closer to the Right. We don't have to act like the Lefty's do, in fact, we MUST not act like they do. Don't give the indy's any reason to stay away from the conservative cause.

I pray that the former president of the United States has a speedy recovery. This is a time for me to lay aside my deep disagreements and lift up a fellow man in his time of need.
