Drudge likes to sleep late, I guess.
Nothing worthwhile there for months.

Isn't he dating Ann Coulter?
My work would be suffering, too!

Although some of what is posted on Free Republic comes from Drudge, FR has scooped him many times on national stories. Having tens of thousands of FReepers as reporters beats the newswires.

Drudge is suffering from the problem of any small business that seeks to grow: he can't do it all now, the information is just too much. But he doesn't have the resources of a FreeRepublic, where people contribute freely. Even if he has a couple of elves, he has, I think, reached the "wall" at which he can no longer add value.
FR has now surpassed Drudge---as if that was ever in question.

My problem with Drudge is the idiotic pop-ups. My favorite is a pop-up that advertises a pop-up blocker! It is not unusual to get 4 different ads opening at one time with his site - some I am sure contain spyware.

I think there has to be a girl (or guy, if rumors are true).
Drudge always seemed to me to be a loner. He couldn't have had much of social life to constantly be breaking stories. So perhaps now there is someone and he simply doesn't want to spend as much time on work.

It will be interesting to see how quickly he gets to the breaking Clinton story. No news on his site so far...

Isn't Matt Drudge living in Florida? If so, he has more important things to worry about than his website. Keep safe down there in Florida!

Drudge is still drudge.
He was able to do things because the media underestimated the power of his page. They will never let him do that again.
He is still the secret homepage of the Partisan Media.
HOWEVER, I find FR a far more valuble news source.

Tell you the truth, Drudge use to be the first web site I would pull up each morning to see what the latest news is for talking points with my conservative friends at work.
Now it's freerepublic. You can get what's on Drudge, and lots more.
I'm am thankful for Drudge though. He did for the Web what Rush Limbaugh did for talk radio.
However - Drudge once in awhile on his radio show he can get me a little angry with him. The last two Sundays he spent allot of time talking about how Bush was only going to be in NY for nine hours, like that was something Bush should be ashamed of.

Maybe he is on vacation and his aunt is running the web site.

I think Drudge lives in Miami and is obsessed with the impending hurricane. The only updated stories on his site are about the storm.
