McCain is eaten up with jealousy. He cannot stand anyone getting more press than he.

ping. Here is the McCain reversal you predicted.

McCain's Law: for every team effort, there is an equal and opposite back-track.

I cannot find one redeeming quality about John McCain. The very thought of him as the 2008 Republican candidate, as some are speculating, makes me sick.

Hubby was out taking a smoke-break with some coworkers, including some non-smokers. One of 'em, a liberal, began telling the gathered about how he and his wife thought Zell's speech was nuts. One of the other folks outside then said, "I thought it was great!" I have no idea what his political affiliation is. Hubby just grinned and nodded his agreement with the second guy, and he acknowledged that he had liked Zell since the first time he ever heard him when Zell was governor of Georgia. I do not know if there were "swing voters" present in the smoke-break crowd. I don't know if I know any swing voters at all.

My liberal in-laws told hubby and I last week that "George W. Bush is the best thing that's ever happened to this country." That is HUGE in my opinion. These are folks who voted for Carter and Mondale and Dukakis. (they voted for Perot over Clinton both times.) Hubby and I were close to choking on our food or even fallin' off our chairs at the dinner table when my father-in-law said this. When my mother-in-law clarified, "Well, next to Ronald Reagan," hubby and I were literally stunned into silence. (this is a rare occurrence for hubby. When he is silent, it is because he is extremely angry or asleep.) As soon as hubby and I were alone, I asked him what had happened to his parents. We've been wondering ever since if some aliens abducted them and replaced them with Republicans. They think John Kerry is the biggest dufus to be nominated by the Democrats in a loooooooooong time.

McCain ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer. He came close to flunking out of the Naval Academy, during pilot training he was pushed thru ... given a waiver twice during aviation training, allowed to proceed in the program when others would have washed out ... McCain's
grandfather and dad were former Navy admirals. McCain is rarely right about anything and he's wrong about Zel Miller. McCain is your quintessential "hotdog"... nothing more.

Ole Backstabber Johnny is at it again.

Well atleast we ALL know who is going to cover John F'n Kerrys flank.

I'll wager a bet to anyone that cares to take it. IF by some unforseen cosmic act John F'n Kerry gets elected, Johnny McMe is asked to serve in the Kerry administration.
Probably as Sec. of Defense?

Johnny McMe only serves one person, Johnny McMe.he proved that with the Primary Smears of Bush, his actions with the Press and the bribes he accepted from Charles Keating. He is in the tank for Kerry. No doubt in my mind.

John, John, John. You don't have to answer every question reporters ask you. Especially when you know very well why they've asked you

The media created McCrazy and he owes them big time. Whatever the media says, McCrazy swears too.

He's as loony as Perot ever was.

McCain is trying to set the stage for 2008. He is a moderate RINO and he doesn't want anyone to bash him when the Republican nomination process starts. He wants everyone to get along.

Once Bush wins another term, I hope Bush really blows McCain off and doesn't help him for 2008. I am afraid that Bush has already promised him some things.

This piece illustrates why McCain will never become President of the United States, representing the Republican party.

Not only does he not understand the Conservative base, he despises them, and it shows.

I like McCain, generally, and would vote for him over a dem, but he's out to lunch if he thinks this kind of bulls$!t helps him.

First of all, Zell spoke the truth that McCain has been loath to hear for a long time. I don't mind him taking members of his own party to task when it's truly deserved, but I've never heard him take the other side to task, and that says a lot.

He's not the OWNER of the Vietnam Experience, he's not the owner of the integrity of elected officials. He can suck up to the the swing voters from now until doomsday, if he can't respect the base then he can't hold the base.

He's milking the fact that both parties are sucking up to him -- and why they are is beyond me! When the pubbies consider him expendable (hopefully after the coming election), he will be sent out to the Rest Farm (ignore him, and his 'weight' goes away).
