Thanks for the picture and the pinging.
I've been lurking in the Never Never Land, aka Dirty Underpants Alternate Universe. The little DUmmies are full of hope that no Floridians will be able to watch the convention tonight.
NLG = National Lawyers Guild?
or Nutty Liberal Gangsters?
When I was in Sioux Falls 1st of August, VP Cheney was at the hotel next door...I didn't have tickets, & tried my best to get in. I had a great conversation with the Secret Service there. I ended up on the 10:00 news for the President...shouting for volunteers! It was great.
Nice of you to join us....don't be afraid to post. ...we've all been new here.
Thanks!!! I was going to my neighborhood party tonite, but I'm going to watch the speech with my 81 yr old WWII Dad who has cancer. I couldn't think of a better way to do it.
A keeper indeed! He called Bush a staight shooter. I think is a straight shooter himself!
For all the daily dosers, the DITL thread tonight will be later than usual to allow for photos to be sent to media outlets. Look for the dose sometime after 10pm.
It's not just you, Anna; he really IS handsome (and knowing that drives the Bush haters insane makes me happy......LOL)!!
Has anyone heard of a dish service called Voom? I have it, and they have a HD live feed of the convention with no commentary, banners, or commercials. It has been great. Some of the camera operators think like many FReepers, if you get my drift. ;)
Presidential Brand Whoop Ass; I love it.
My local NPR has been playing the speeches. You could try turning that on on your way home and drive at the speed limit.
I going to miss tonight. We have a long planned fishing trip.(obviously, I didn't plan very well!). Tuesday I called Direct TV and asked if I could have a TiVo installed within two days. They laughed. I told them I couldn't miss the President's speech. It was installed yesterday and I have it all programmed and ready to go. Bless Direct TV.
I can hardly wait!
God bless your dad. Please convey to him my gratitude for his service to our country. And welcome.
I saw earlier that he already arrived.
Not 5 minutes ago, I saw two Military helicopters heading for Manhatten. Hopefully nothing bad has happened.

Hopefully not. A few days ago, Bill Clinton was about 5 miles away from me for a book signing. I kept hearing sirens and my thoughts were not something I am proud of.
I thought Franks was supposed to be there too.
On top of that............Pataki needs to get a shot of whatever Zell had last night! He doesn't strike me as being real excited!
Lord help him!
George W Bush/ 2004!!!!!!
