I live not too far from Senator Miller's office in Young Harris GA. If you want to send the good Senator a note of thanks, post on this thread. I'll print the thread out and drop it off at his office, letting them know that should he like to return a comment, I'll post it here at FR.

Oh absolutely! I heard him on Fox News at the convention.

Thank you Senator Miller for your kind words for the Republicans and for our President. Thank you for reminding the country that there are conservative Democrats still in existence today. I believe young people don't realize that Democrats can be conservative. And, thank you for pointing out that today's Democrats are a far cry from the Democrats in days gone by. God Bless.

Thanks Senator Miller for being a man of good sense. Further Thanks for standing up to that punk Chris Mathews and taking him to the woodshed. Best Regards, Stan King, Dallas, Texas

Senator Zell,

Great speech. One of the best I've heard. I hope it delivers a knockout punch to the faltering Kerry campaign! You make us proud.

Thanks!

The analogy Zell Miller made to Wendell Wilke was moving.

It was similar to Barry Goldwater who "would rather be right than be president."

Mr. Miller, you asked "where are the statesmen?"

The answer, Mr.Miller, is that statesmen are so rare in DC that they are nearly extinct. You, however, love your nation more than you love the "Letter D".

Thank you, Zell Miller. America's children thank you. Our founding fathers in heaven thank you.

Senator Miller,

I've lived in Georgia all my life, I love state. I've watched the Democratic party change from conservatives to liberals, from liberals to socialists. I used to call your office asking for you to change parties. I no longer do. I understand that it's a matter of honour and principle - as you wrote in your book, you haven't changed, your party has. It's been hijacked by those that would relinquish our sovereignty to a socialist organization, gut our Constitution, and put us on a path to victimhood at the hands of dictators, anarchists and terrorists.

I thoroughly enjoyed your speech last night. You gave 'em Zell.

respectfully,

4CJ

Like Zell, my father was a Democrat, and even though Dad left school after the eighth grade to help support his depression era family, he had enough education to recognize when socialism was taking over his political party. He knew his party was dividing the nation into the rich and the non-rich, the haves and the have nots. He knew that we need to have the strongest military in the world so we don't have to use it again in a struggle for our survival. And he saw through the lie that the Government is the answer to all are Problems. Thank you Ronald Reagan for welcoming my father into the Republican Party, and Thank you Zell Miller for today welcoming thousands more.

God Bless you, Zell Miller. You are a true, patriotic American - the remnant of a proud, honorable Democrat Party of years ago.

I have been a life-long Republican, but I would gladly vote for a Democrat like you!

Senator Miller, you are the embodiment of what used to be the "Loyal Opposition", who put the good of the nation above partisan politics.

When you retire from political life the United States will be poorer for it. Thank you for your service!

Thanks, hoss -- for reminding me of Sunday morning in my youth attending fire and brimstone, Southern Baptist church services.

What a fireball!!! Man, you tore kerry three new a$$holes -- and you raked your entire party over the coals in the process.

You are indeed the MAN!!!
