Too little too late. AWOL is dead in the water! We already had the funeral.

They did not even do any kind of drug testing back then!

What a joke this is!

Bob Mulholland is the poster child for legalizing dueling...
An armed and dueling society is a truthful and polite society...
Mulholland is neither...

I've long advocated that the focus on drug use should be aimed at Ketchupman. Good grief! He was in the heart of drug country. He didn't use heroine/marijuana is hard to believe.

The reviving of the AWOL story is to counter the devastating effect off.........PURPLE HEART BANDAIDS!

This is just a lawyering of kerry's vietnam crises. They are trying to create a "parity" problem in the Bush resume to say both candidates have problems.

CNN europe is eating this talking point hook, line, and sinker. They must just hand the newsreaders the DNC faxes straight from the machine.

Democrats are going to go in monkey poop throwing mode after this is a probable Bush bounce.

Consider how bad it will be in November when their major money donors will realize the democrat party has zero to offer for their dollars.

(democrats will then demand the US go to a representative parlament system to "harmonize" with the rest of the world's "democracies")

"Riffed" was the Army term. Had several friends that got "riffed" and took flying jobs with offshore oil companies, and then what was newly emerging-air evacuation for the "little guy." Something everyone takes for granted nowadays.

Like you say, pilots were "plentiful" back then...

The military was NOT doing drug tests at that time. Not even on pilots.

That started in the mid 1970's.

At least that's how it was in the USN.

W did not lose is his wings.

There were no open flight slots when he transfered....so he took the desk duty. That was arranged before he left Houston.

He as NEVER grounded. He was moved from flight status...that is why he did not take a flight physical. He did take a standard physical.

And the NG did blood and urine analysis before the date that the idiot hitman mentioned.

The drug rumors are not true.
They started back when Bush was governor...Texas Dems knew he would win and they went as low as they could.

A guy out of Waco....Richard Milns or Mills (can't remember his exact last name) was drunk one night when he was home in Waco..in a bar called Scruffy Murphy's. He messed up and told some young republicans that the dems were going to start another rumor....and they were sure that the media would carry it for them. They thought, by the time the truth got out that it was not true....it would be to late.

The young republicans were smart....and son's of some rather powerful folks... and they got the truth out before the rumor. They exposed that the dems would try it. It made some papers....the dems tried it.....and the dems went down.

That's how Boxer got in over Herschenson. You are correct.

What I know about Mulholland is that he's a California Democratic Party hitman. He's been involved in many a CA campaign, and may have been responsible for the last minute charge about Bruce Hershinsen (sp?) that he visited a strip club. This was the Senate election that saw Barbara Boxer elected to the Senate for the first time, if I remember right.

You have that exactly right including the fact I can't spell Bruce's last name either...

The fact that he had 'Wings' to lose speaks volumes about GWB's courage and character. The AF does not hand out pilot wings to just anybody, even if you do have a famous parent, who by the way was a pilot for the US military in an earlier war himself.

Having been in the AF myself, mandatory drug testing did not begin until aometime in the late 70's.

BTW, I am having a difficult time finding out some information of John Kerry.

Did he ever serve in the military?

Same year Kerry left Vietnam early to avoid drug testing.

I would doubt seriously if John Kerry ever smoked pot.

It's not like he served in Vietnam or anything like that where drug use was used as an escape device from the horrors and tedium of war.

"John Edwards has admitted to using pot, I wonder what JOhn Kerrys record of using drugs is? and if he inhaled? now that the Dems are raising the issue, lets flush out the Johns..."

*Excellent* suggestion.
Turn it around and take it to 'em.
Then stand back and watch 'em squeel.

Wouldn't you think the 'Rats would've learned what any 1st year legal student knows, "Never ask a question if you don't have the answer."?

...& what kind of sheister is Edwards if he doesn't know that.
