DNC HITMAN BOB MULHOLLAND ACCUSES BUSH OF AWOL TO AVOID A DRUG TEST KRLA THE MICHAEL MEDVED SHOW Today, in an interview on the Michael Medved Show, Yosemite Sam strongly suggested that the reason that Bush was AWOL in Alabama was because 69 was the first year the NG started drug testing it's pilots.

That is true. At the same time, the plane he was trained to fly had been phased out. Thus, there was nothing for him to fly when he "lost his wings".

Here is the deal: As long as it is not true, it doesn't matter. Yes, they have big media behind them, but this story has been researched to death. The reality is that if it WERE true, it would matter. It just isn't true. So let them accuse. It's old and spent news. Their media pals have combed over every inch of this possibility. Those who want to believe it will contine to believe it. And they will vote for Kerry. So what. They've spent their wad.
The US military did not start drug testing until 1981. Bush was long gone from the military by then.

Mulholland is an idiot, but forgive me, I repeat myself.
Don't know about that, but I understand that the aircraft he had been flying, the F-102 Delta Dagger (first flown 1953), was being phased out, to be replaced by the F-4 Phantom. Seems like an opportune time to let your annual physical qual lapse and to leave the Guard with an Honorable discharge.

What I know about Mulholland is that he's a California Democratic Party hitman. He's been involved in many a CA campaign, and may have been responsible for the last minute charge about Bruce Hershinsen (sp?) that he visited a strip club. This was the Senate election that saw Barbara Boxer elected to the Senate for the first time, if I remember right.
Oh, this will jump start Kerry's campaign for sure. So this is Kerry's message that he wants to get out.
I heard Mullholland on with Al Rantel a couple weeks ago. He started ranting about AWOL then too. He kept on saying, "He stayed home with Mommy! He stayed home with Mommy!"
