Listening to Kerry speech at AL convention live

Kerry on local radio at the American Legion convention in Nashville.
He starts off by buying John Glenn's support by promising him another trip into space.
Opening joke about him having a problem keeping his speech under 10 minutes falls absolutely flat.

Yeah, you can tell he listened to Republican speeches cause he is plagarizing like hell. If Kerry wins kiss Iraq goodbye and prepare for our little kids to be held hostage one day. Kerry has no ....guts.

Now he is promising to provide troops with the newest technology to win the WOT. Unlike where in the Senate he voted DOZENS of times to eliminate the weapons we are using today.

There is a HUGE crowd there and they are extremely quiet. They are like the protesters...they are just staring at him with blank faces. They have class.
Does he not realize how weak his record on intelligence is? He is just setting up targets for Karl Rove to shoot down.

First he claimed that Bush didn't put enough troops into Iraq and now he just claimed that 9 out of 10 divisions were either just back from Iraq, in Iraq, leaving Iraq, or getting ready to go to Iraq.

I'm agog.
NOW HE IS TELLING US HOW MUCH HE'S GOING TO BE SPENDING ON INTELLIGENCE!!
You could put a GWB cardboard cut out, and just replay his own soundbites and run a powerpoint that reviews his Senate voting record and the President would win.
By the way, no applause for the last four or five minutes.
