Some dimwits ran in with an AIDS sign and the Republican kids immediately stood up anad blcoked their signs with theirs and shouted them down with "four more years!"

Good thinking, kidds! Andy Card remained calm!

I'm not surprised to read the undertow of the AP article.

GWB could pull a toddler out of a frozen lake, and they'd bash him for it.

I've been watching polical conventions since Dewey wins.............

I have never heard a speech like Arnold's.

Rudy was great, McCain did what he had to do and redeemed himself somewhat.

I know that Cheney will be awesome tonight. It's going to be autobiographical. But if anyone saw the picture on Lucianne.com of Cheney with his little granddaughter yesterday you know this is a man who wants this world to be SAFE. He's going to be awesome!

As for Dubya, I wouldn't care if he came out and read the phone book, he is out there trying to save the world and that's enough to know.

Andy Card is speaking now . I'm on c-span.
Something has just errupted down on the floor.
Someone held a bannert about stopping aids and there was a tasseling on the floor.
The 4 more years chant started and took over the disrupters.
Don't know what took place!
Also sounds like Bush may show up in the youth meeting. Maybe.

Yeah - the goon with the whistle could have been an Islammokazi with a BOMB-Belt, too.

Heads UP, guys!

Looked for a while there the young Pubbies were stomping the AIDS idiot's face in on the floor before the Security guys could save him... we can HOPE, eh?

Since I don't know how to post my own thread may I make a suggestion piggybacking on your request for DVD/tape?

If folks can record the speeches and then send them to their family members in the military that would be great.

I recorded special events and sent them to my son when he was in the military and the guys loved seeing what was happening back home.

I don't believe it....hasn't BUSH given more money to AIDS than Clintoon did!
Unbelievable what the demoncrats will stoop too....all the protester arrests, these goons getting INSIDE the RNC, that is b*llsh*t! Those security people have to be alot more determined to weed out the riff raff

Bush, in turn, had been introduced by Jenna and Barbara Bush, the first couple's 22-year-old twin daughters, who proved to be the surprise stars of the evening.

I was not "wowed" by the twins last night - pretty neutral, in fact, and many on this thread were pretty upset, but despite certain of the media thinking they were terrible and even hurtful for the President, I have many other reports that the young demographics really, really loved their time at the podium.

I'm thinking they were (quite surprisingly) a BIG net positive for the President.

Yes sir. I would be disappointed if they DIDN'T sing "Only in America". If they do, I hope they have their confetti blowers. Since they are on last, that raises that possibility.

Things seem to have quieted down for now.

But Andy CARD asked if Deligates wanted to "See the President NOW?", eliciting cheers of affirmation. For a while there I expected to see "W" materialize a day early, thus no doubt foiling the plans of a lot of anarchists... and perhaps islammofacists as well. It would be brilliant.

But nothing seems to have come of it, so I wonder if I misunderstood something?

Did any of you interpret CARD's comments like that too?

Joe, be sure to get a report from your daughter later on those idiotic protesters. Tell her they did good to start the overwhelming "FOUR MORE YEARS" to drown out the fools.

Good God. Last night was not a "debacle".

LOL

Everything is not one extreme or the other.

I think that they were just themselves, typical teenagers. They will mature like we all had an opportunity to.

I have a daughter in college at the present and sometimes I think, geez she's got a long way to go. Politics are not a dominating interest of theirs at the present.

You didn't happen to notice if any of the young Republicans who tackled the demonstrators happened to be a nearly 16, 5'2" brunette, did you? I can see her doing that.
