Zell Miller just woke up the Reagan Democrats, the blue collar guys and gals, the cops the firemen, the hardhats. I know these people, hell I am those people.
Now Ron Reagan is saying Zell loved Kerry just 3 years ago, and he was bought off.

Second it. Rush said today this Convention has been an exposition and celebration of conservatism and that's what has liberals beside themselves. They don't believe and see what they're seeing is the real deal since they themselves can't be who they are.
A couple of examples. Matthews started on a 3 minute question about Kerry being nuanced and that often a legislator makes all kinds of contradictory votes because of procedural reasons, implying not so subtly that Zell was misrepresenting Kerry and smearing him even though he knew that it was 'really just the process' so wasn't that a cheap shot? (with Miller trying to answer but being cutoff several times during the 'question'.) Later Matthews had another long series of questions sniping at Zell's Dem loyalty and status, about whether if a Republican spoke at the Dem convention would Zell respect him, which after about the 4th cutoff and Malkin-interview-like-innuendo-pseudo-question that Zell exploded, angrily asking Chris "Why are you doing this stuff", "Why are you reading Dem talking points", "You're not going to treat me like you treated that young lady awhile back", "Are you going to shutup and let me answer?", etc.
Had it been on a show with ratings, it might have backfired on Zell, but it was just Hardball and Chris got some major inside baseball karma, and tried to continue and salvage the interview with a much calmer, tail-between-the-legs approach.
The transcript really needs to be posted, it was a LONG session, ugly, and a very deserving verbal fistfight.
Yeesh, you said it! I heard Greta was going to have Weasley Clark on and immediately switched the channel. The "After Hours" show on MSNBC - on NOW - with Joe Scarborough, Ron Silver and Ron Reagan, et al has been pretty good the past three days. Ron Reagan and Mike Barnicle (both liberals) are apoplectic over Zell Miller's speech! LOL

At least make it a smear not TOTALLY divorced from reality.

Gergen is a disgrace, IMHO. Said Miller's speech was "hateful." Hateful? I don't think so! Righteous indignation? Absolutely! This will be the talking points right through the weekend...the "hateful" speeches at the convention. Oh, and it'll all be President Bush's fault because he's not been a unifier. GAG ME WITH A SPOON ALREADY and get it over with!

A stinking lie by a coward with no center. Miller stated quite clearly he did not question there patriotism, he questionesd their stinking judgement.
