Majority thinks Zell's speech stronger..
energetic, surprising, powerful but one sided, on target.
O.K. and thanks! Please post what they say when they do come on...
MSNBC focus group on Zell. They liked Zell!!!
I'm really starting to believe the scurrilous rumors about Scarborough. He is so in the tank with the Dems it's not even funny.
Zell speaking loudly is no doubt in order to allow him to be seen in TV land in the hour that is being covered by the nets, not just Cheney.
sure it was about Arnold, but in a very positive way.
Lee Atwater has risen from the dead for Andrea Mitchell. It was all his fault. Dubya learned at his knee.
Luntz is interviewing his focus group from tonight. His group of SWING VOTERS had a VERY POSITIVE reaction to Zell's speech.
This results on MSNBC swing voters are in
They thought Zell's speech was GREAT!!!
"Joe Klein and Aaron Brown talking about "the line" of civility in these campaigns."
Yup, Brown's face was all red and Klein was jabbering something about how this whole thing will play (after the media spins it, of course).
Ohio swing voters very positive to Zel's speech!
I missed that. Do tell.
It was in the context of Fred Barnes and Brit exchanging their favorite lines from Zell's speech.
Fred reiterated Zell's line about Kerry's stance on anything: "Yes, No, Maybe, it's just all a bowl of mush!"
Brit replied by reiterating Zell's spitball metaphor. Brit said it's the equivalent of when kids say to each other: "What a Poophead!"
No, CM isn't a moron. He was trying to blunt the blow of Zell's speech by trivializing the quote and trying to make Zell look silly. It was a carefully calculated question with a specific purpose.
HALIBURTON <---Have not heard this name at all tonight. Not bad that Zell is the focus.
Whatever happened, Matthews seems to acting now like he was bitch slapped, and that all he was trying to say is that maneuvers in the senate are dark and mysterious, and recorded votes are highly misleading as guideposts of a Senator's "true" position about anything. It is all really too complicated for either of us to understand is the message, both the wild man from Mississippi and the "moderate" provincial lawyer from the left coast. :)
Mathhews program trying to plant the meme that GOP is mean, and DEM is soft and reasonable. Ohio focus group coming up. Zell's speech resonated positively with, my guess, 70% of the group.
OMG, I never watch Chrissy, but Brit Hume's panel has now ticked me off for two straight days. If I have to listen to Fred Barnes and Billy Kristol "analyze" the convention for one more night....I may have to open a vein.......
I'm SHOCKED and so very RELIEVED!!!
