It measures how much each side is willing to part with their own hard-earned cash to bet on their candidate.
But the flaw in the IEM, is that the daily GRAPH of CLOSING PRICES CAN be easily manipulated by rich-guys, by BUYING UP ALL the contracts just BEFORE midnight, and then covering your bets in the opposite direction AFTER midnight.
THAT apparently happened last night, and somewhere, there are democRATS laughing at the Conservative bloggers who like to report George Bush'es progress almost daily.
The most recent MIDNIGHT results look pretty bad.
But compare that to the AVERAGE selling prices and you will see it was just a SCAM, someone was GAMING the chart for political PROPAGANDA purposes!
I'm sure some of you clever Freepers can use this knowledge to make yourself some BIG DOUGH if this should happen again in upcoming midnight trades!
I show TWO dots per day, indicating the AVERAGE selling price, plus ONE EXTRA dot at the end showing the CURRENT selling price.
Note how the MIDNIGHT SCAM was so short lived!
(does anyone know if what they did is illegal?)
Give it up.
I'm sure that $orea$$'s gnomes are trying to rig any market sensitive data to make GW look bad or Putin on the otherside of the ponds.
One of these days Putin will tire of $oreA$$ and take care of the $oreA$$ problem.
What's the total bet on the issue?
10 of Soro's 'guys' = $5000 bet. -- Is that a big percentage of the market?
Please pull your panties out of your butt crack.
Adults knew what Bush was saying at the time. Damage control is already being done for those who are feebleminded enough to be manipulated by the media.
For the most part, the convention news has already overtaken this story.
Snore! Snore!
Another Girly Freeper against GW strikes out again, again and again.
That is a good question. I dont think they're Soros' guys. Not directly.
I am betting that their little Inet campaign offices has a little subversion going on. Moveon, or one of the others.
Anybody with a brain knows what he meant when he said that and he's right--we'll NEVER get all the terrorist nuts.
C'mon - even the talking heads agree that this is a non-event. In fact, the Dems are more likeley to hurt Kerry with this, because the more they try to pin the "flip-flop" label on Bush, the more they remind the mushy middle of how that term applies to Kerry.
"$oreA$$" - "Girly Freeper", you are on a roll, making my day!!!
You are Helen Keller: politically deaf and blind, you still somehow manage to express yourself.
In the real market this is called Pumping up the stock... it means nothing, but it does happen. Dems can try all they want to play with things like this, but the writing is on the wall... Kerry's toast.
We shall see if Kerry has the guts to mention Bush's "winning" statement to the VFW today. Rumor has it that will be the highlight of his speech.
1. It was only a gaff in that he gave the MSM a one-liner to sieze upon while regarding the entire statement he made.
2. It really was a minor blip that sKerry will try to capitalize upon, but get nowhere as more important things envelope the campaign.
3. Get real! This sounds like a seminar post!
Oh, I agree, and once the set of trades that collapsed the prices are looked at, the congruities of the accts (where they are, when they came on etc...) will get them bounced.
I dont think this will be a continuing phenomena....
I have been using $oreA$$ for about a year now.
Arnold used his famous Girly men comment to make fun of the doomers and gloomers re our economy. It is so appropriate for the third party whiners on FR who hate GW more than Michael Moore does.
>>1. It was only a gaff in that he gave the MSM a one-liner to sieze upon while regarding the entire statement he made.<<
OK, first off, I said it was a gaffe, and I said it was "Made to SOUND LIKE" he was declaring the war unwinnable. So, yes, you just exactly stated what his gaffe was: feeding the enemy ammo.
>> 2. It really was a minor blip that sKerry will try to capitalize upon, but get nowhere as more important things envelope the campaign. <<
We'll see whether it becomes a theme or not. I'm measuring the comparably minor miscommunication of the "mission accomplished" banner, the meaning of which I would have thought would be obvious to anyone.
>>3. Get real! This sounds like a seminar post!<<
I do regret the use of hyperbole.

Well reading them both on one thread was a needed lift after some of the trot I have come across and both fit "$ore$$" as well as others.
Think positively and usual slice and dice humor when describing the dark siders. They have no sense of humor. Humor and truth to them are like vampires in the movies getting Holy Water thrown on them.
