Sorry for starting this thread so early. Is this like calling "shotgun" three days before the trip starts LOL?
I was trying to find out the time that the Senator's speech will occur. I found nothing at the Legion website (www.legion.org), nor at the Kerry site, nor at CSPAN. When will the speech be given?
Anyway, here is a thread for people to post their comments.
For the pool, put me in for 57 minutes late.
The Swifties will wait til Godot before Kerry cries "Uncle!"
Nice to see you joined me. :)
LOL!
thankx for my laff of the day
This is amazing. The time is not available anywhere. Only information in the news or websites is that Kerry is speaking today, this morning, or Wednesday morning. I wonder if the media is purposely avoiding giving out the time to help protect Kerry's image. Remember that almost every time he gives a speech, his poll numbers go down.
Somebody ping me when it begins, please! :-)
CSPIN has gone over to the dark side other than live coverage.
"Because of what John Kerry has said and how he conducted himself after he returned to the United States. Those are his words and they reflect what he genuinly thinks of Veterans the United States military and of protecting America from her enemies.

They are stuck in the last century and we are in the age of the internet.
Two Part Prediction: The MSM will faithfully report that Kerry has used this speech to turn the corner on the Swift Boat Vets. There will be a chorus of phrases that will sound resoundingly similar where all news analysts and editorials will agree that Kerry has answered the accusations and now received the veteran support he deserves so that he can campaign on the real issues like interest rates charged on credit cards.
The second part of the prediction is that even though the MSM tells us Kerry shot it out of the park, the polls will continue to show lost support among the vets.
I hope he falls flat on his face and that whoever shows up, gives him such a cold reception that he'll need a winter coat and that it is all over the national news. I don't think the DNC can prop up their pathertic, phony candidate much longer.
But he won't rebut their charges. At most, in rebuttal, he will say "They are not telling the truth," but he even avoid that, instead providing only ad hominem attacks.
It'll be an interesting speech.
As for time, the only information I've found is that the preliminary sddhedule for the convention, for today, runs from 8:30 to 12:30, then nothing until 7:00 PM. Kerry was to have flown to Nashville last night.
As they and Kerry continue their swirl around the bowl.
Many Freepers are simply wrong about this supposed presidential mistake. Whether Bush set the trap intentionally or it was providence, attacking Bush on this issue is pure suicide for Kerry.
First, the electorate thinks Bush is the best person to lead the war on terror. Kerry's best hand is to change the subject to jobs, economy and health care. By investing his energy into the terror argument he is shooting himself in the head.
The second and biggest reason for this being a trap, is that Kerry needs to downplay the terror risk. If the people no longer believe there is much of a threat its not much of an issue. Bush's biggest challenge is to keep people aware that the threats still exist. When he does try, the MSM slams him by saying he is raising the issue for political gain. However if Kerry makes it an issue that its important to win the war on terror he sets it up for Bush.
The American Legion web site says the speech is at 11:00 am today.
"CSPAN has gone over to the dark side..."
I agree with you. I usually only watch live coverage. I quit watching Washington Journal in the morning. The idiots that would call in would make me so mad that I was already stressed out before I even went to work. Now I listen to Bill Bennett's "Morning In America" on the radio.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!
