Kerry appearance at American Legion - live thread
self

Sorry for starting this thread so early. Is this like calling "shotgun" three days before the trip starts LOL?
I was trying to find out the time that the Senator's speech will occur. I found nothing at the Legion website (www.legion.org), nor at the Kerry site, nor at CSPAN. When will the speech be given?
Anyway, here is a thread for people to post their comments.

He has some of his "supporters" there. You can tell by the VERY FEW people yelling at his every word.

Camera shot is tight in on Kerry. No crowd shot. I want to see a crowd shot. Kerry looks very nervous.

Can't see but the applause so far has been tepid.
Now playing up to WWII Vets.

He's starting to intone "As president....." You are not going to be president, now or ever. He's trying to get back on the veteran bandwagon. "America says thank you."
His dad volunteered for Army Air Corps. He was born at an Army Hospital. Heard any of this before? Yack, he's using my dad's generation as props for applause lines.

Is he going to thank Gen Jack Chirak of France.
Kerry doesn't do a thing without Jack Chirak's approval.

To: cyncooper
He thanked WWII vets for setting the example for those who followed in their footsteps. Too bad he didn't follow their lead.

Now he's invoking the wounded soldiers.

By the look on his horse face....Kerry looks nervous and like he is not speaking to a really friendly crowd. He is going over like a lead balloon.
