"You notice how all the weather babes are constantly pregnant on the Weather Channel? He is . . . Cantore!"

You need to post "no coffee" warnings. Now I gotta clean the keyboard!

I would listen to the local news down there and do what they advise you to do.

I'm living in NC now and we have had our fair share of hurricanes up here in the past nine years that I've been here. I also lived in S FL during Andrew and believe me, hurricanes are nothing to take lightly.

My parents are just west of Hodges so they are not in an evacuation zone and they plan on staying put.

Whatever you decide to do Godspeed to you and know that you are in my prayers re: your liver transplant.

You notice how all the weather babes are constantly pregnant on the Weather Channel?

Hard not to notice. When Jennifer Lopez is standing by Florida and you can't see Alabama, she'll be due to deliver.

But they do have some pulchritudinous meteorologists, I have to say. Didn't one of them have a fan club?

Sorry, I didn't see your post until now.

It's looking more and like Frances will miss us -- and oh, boy, I sure hope it does. There's still so much loose debris lying around everywhere, and so many damaged roofs covered with tarps, and so many people with no home left. All the structures and trees that are still standing are in a weakened condition. This area will be totally devastated if we get hit by a storm like Frances so soon on the heels of Charley.

We're thinking about bugging out either tonight or early in the a.m. -- but to go where? All of Florida is under the gun at this point. (I'm considering Tennessee. Bring my computer, get a motel room, and set up shop there. Stay there until the water and power are back on and things start getting back to normal. I do not want to go through the no-water, no-power, no-supplies, no-nothing routine again.)

I hope your mom gets through everything okay.

All I want to know is can you still go to the Capri and get a good pizza with some wine? Seriously we will pray for all of you and hope that you stay safe during the coming weekend!!!

Yea, the Capri is still here, still at the same place.

You'll have to let me know when you come back from your visit just how much you didn't recognize Homestead!!!!

That's my favorite thing to do too. We'll have to hook up next time you're in town. Sometimes we'll get lucky and find 100 then other days, we'll only find 10 or 20.

Blessings to you.

Hi there. We decided to go. The condo managers said they wanted the power cut anyway and I didn't want to take a chance on getting stuck. We're in Georgia now but will go back this week.

We made it out on Thurs. Now we are heading back to Ponte Vedra Beach tomorrow morning, Monday. I've called down there I don't think anything is closed such as roads or bridges.

I hope Floridians make it through this ok. My brother is currently in the middle of a typhoon in Okinawa where he is stationed.

What's up with the looters and "prowlers?" These people should have enhancements put on their prison sentences, but unfortunatly we let these people go.

And why can't more of our hurricane names reflect the diversity in this country? How about hurricane Javier?

We left Fri evening and just got home. We are blessed to have power and broadband working. Still many without power here now. I can't believe we drove home through a tropical storm! That was a mess! I can't believe how many dingbats were driving with their emergency flashers on. You instinctively slowed down thinking there was an accident ahead and it was just someone thinking you wouldn't see them if they didn't have their flashers on. There were a lot of trees that fell along I-10 and fell just to the edge of the road. If any trees along the edge of the road had fallen it would have been impassable.
Glad to be home and everyone and everything safe and sound.God bless!
