Wolf Blitzer Faux Pas!!!

Wolf Blitzer, during a roundtable discussion with two other guys, brought up the "Purple heart band-aid" gimmick used by some delegates at the GOP convention to ridicule Kerry. Wolf then said, "This kind of thing could backfire if it is viewed as a slam against veterans who DID earn their Purple Hearts."
I fell out of my chair and couldn't get to my computer fast enough to post this. Incredible faux pas by Blitzer.

Amen on that. My dad received a wound from shrapnel at Anzio - he wasn't in the first wave - he says it "wasn't very bad - could have cut myself that bad working in the yard" - he was too embarassed to take a PH when guys were being evac'd with horrendous life-threatening wounds and dying on the beach.
My dad too would have something to say to this worm.

Obviously Woolfie is well aware that the SwiftVets are right, but equally obvious is his belief that it doesn't matter that sKerry is a fraud, as long as he is a socialist.

As of the time of this post, the 12:00 noon Wolf Blitzer segment is still the only segment which is MIA from the CNN.com transcripts for August 31, 2004. What's up with that?
To: Lancey Howard
"This kind of thing could backfire if it is viewed as a slam against veterans who DID earn their Purple Hearts." It's not going to backfire. Everybody knows what it means.

I think it's very intriguing that Kerry's first PH was approved by a logistics officer in Saigon, after being denied by his combat commanders in Cam Ranh Bay.
How could that have happened? How did the application make it to this staff officer, Donald Still? Who gave it to him? Did he know it had been previously denied? Why would chief staff officer Donald Still accept a PH application from Cam Ranh Bay?
Many questions, and I strongly suspect John Kerry wouldn't like for us to have the answers.
