This is the thread for Day Two of the RNC Convention.
He was offended.
What I said to the radio is not printable.
Why wait, institutionalize the left now! It's for their own good.
Thanks for the ping.
Wasn't last night teriffic, especially Guiliani?!!
CSPAN was the best.
Sour grapes from MSNBC and crew in that all they could talk about was McCain running in 2008.
For all you guys. Who's prettier Jenna Bush or Vanessa Kerry.
Same back at ya DC.
I had goosebumps listening to him sing. His voice is amazing! SURELY there will be contract offers after listening to him! (Well, that is assuming there are any record producers willing to sign him after the kerry lawyers see to it that there would be repercussions if they dared)
Thanks for the links JP.
Thursday nite, they should open with Battle Hymn of the Republic. That would chap the libDems.
Oh man, if they used that version of "Battle Hymn" from Reagan's funeral and an all-male chior I would lose it.
NEW YORK - A man was arrested following a struggle with Secret Service agents after entering a restricted area near Vice President Dick Cheney at the Republican convention and making anti-war statements. Cheney never was in any danger, law enforcement officials said Tuesday.
The incident occurred at about 9:20 p.m. Monday, as Cheney sat with his wife, Lynne, in a box off the convention floor at Madison Square Garden.
According to law enforcement officials who spoke on condition of anonymity, the unidentified man was dressed like a convention volunteer and got close enough to Cheney's box to make some anti-war statements. There was a struggle when Secret Service agents went to grab the man, and he had to be subdued, one of the officials said. No weapons were found on him.
Secret Service Agent Shannon Zeigler declined to provide details, saying only that the man was detained for questioning for being in an area for which he was not credentialed. Cheney "was never in any harm or danger," Zeigler said.
Cheney's spokeswoman, Anne Womack, referred questions to the Secret Service.
Authorities were investigating whether the man was an anti-war protester who may have signed up as a volunteer to get into the arena. One of the officials described him as "somebody who has a prior history of doing things like this."
The man was expected to appear in Manhattan federal court Tuesday afternoon. Authorities declined to discuss the charges, but one official said the man would likely be charged with assaulting a federal officer and impeding the operation of the Secret Service.

Earl meet Bubba, your cellmate.
Bubba likes boys, btw.
Well, CBS just did me in. There was only one reason that I ever turned to CBS. I gave up all my soaps years ago after my babies grew up. All except for Guiding Light. I have watched it for over 40 years, mostly because I love Kim Zimmer's acting. As of today I will no longer watch it and I told them so. There on the wall of one of the sets was a big sign advertising "Rock the Vote". Outrageous. Just as well I guess. Gives me an extra hour for work each day.
I have a 17-year-old daughter, so I would prefer to rate the moms.
Laura is classy, smart, bright, loyal ... and HOT!
THK is rich. Fortunately, I'm not that hard up for money. I'd rather have Elizabeth Edwards than THK.
The tough choice would be between THK and Hillary. I might have to go the old man Huffington route to avoid that nightmare.
Seriesly, though, we have two great ladies representing us now (Laura and Lynne Cheney). We should push for each of them to debate the other women. That would get ugly in a hurry!
Since he retired to pursue his career I assume he doing well.
There's not much left to watch on TV that isn't poisoned by the ABB crowd. :(
Thanks, OldFriend - I missed that bit of info. He 'should' be pursuing a music career. His voice is just awesome.
love the pix.. thank you. such beautiful, classy & feminine members of the first family
I just overheard (I really don't know how the tv got put on msnbc) Brokaw interview Mike Barnacle... and in the background heard a choir practicing Battle Hymn of the Republic. The choir was very good.
Thank you, thank you!
