August 31, 2004 -- Secret Service agents last night hauled away a man who got too close to Vice President Dick Cheney in a VIP area at Madison Square Garden. Police sources said the 21-year-old man, who had a pass allowing him into the Garden, had either a knife or some kind of tool on him when he was nabbed as he tried to flee.

Excuse me .. I don't recall any Republican running around threatening to assassinate the President .. and even those democrats who aren't saying that are giving those statements a pass .. which says to me they AGREE with the statement.

I think you forgot this little detail:
"John Wilkes Booth was born on a farm near Bel Air, Maryland, about 25 miles from Baltimore".
The shooter was A YANKEE!! Not a Southerner. That's why your analogy doesn't work!! Booth might have been living in the south at the time, but he did not consider himself to be FROM the south.

In fact, I am not certain that gentlement with a knife was not a registered Republican. Otherwise how did he get a pass into the convention? I admit this is speculation.
If you care to respond with an intelligent analysis of why you 1. beleive my analogy to be incorrect and 2. why you think it is appropriate to condemn an entire group for the acts of an individual, I will continue the conversation with you.

Didn't you notice the Secret Service guy with the communications plug in his ear standing next to the Big Oval One (Michael Moore) when McCain made his comment.
At the time I was wondering if the Secret Service was watching Moore to make sure he didn't do any of his usual stupid tricks. Wouldn't put it past the Big Oval One to do some harm to the President or Vice President.

Dear God, please don't ever let my daughters bring home a guy like this.
Ok, I had a wee nap and wake up to see my favorite photo as #1 in my ping file.
I don't watch TV or listen to that kind of music, but I do live with a bunch of feral cats, and have 2 of the kitties
in the house, that almost didn't make it.
I don't know who made the photo of the kitty, but thank you for doing so. Everytime I see it, I smile.
As I am sure that my babies are smart enough to learn how to use at least a Gatling gun.
I know they have the sounds down pat. bored guests always
jump when the attack starts of the wild cats on the tin roof of this mobil, 3 or 4 healthy toms now that kind of fight will even get to me.
