What you have established is that my approximate facts were incorrect, but have failed to explain why this invalidates the analogy.

In fact, I am not certain that gentlement with a knife was not a registered Republican. Otherwise how did he get a pass into the convention? I admit this is speculation.

If you care to respond with an intelligent analysis of why you 1. beleive my analogy to be incorrect and 2. why you think it is appropriate to condemn an entire group for the acts of an individual, I will continue the conversation with you.

As a typical liberal .. you deal with "approximate facts". Facts are facts - there is no "approximate" about it.

Then .. as a typical liberal .. you try to change the subject .. saying it could have been a repub who tried to attack Cheney with the knife. I don't recall this being a part of the conversation regarding Booth and Southerners.

Of course, what you demand of me .. PROOF .. is not provided by you for such an ignorant statement about what party the knife-wielder belongs to.

Then .. as a liberal .. you again challenge what I have already told you .. as if I never said anything. You claimed John Wilkes Booth represented ALL SOUTHERNERS. I have proven Booth was born in the NORTH and would have never claimed to be a southerner. Now .. I've said that twice.

Many members of DU, among other groups, decided many, many months ago to register as republicans, then volunteer at the convention.

The plan was to disrupt the convention by not showing up or by pulling out hidden signs for Kerry and show them in front of a camera.

In fact tonight (Tues) one did just that in front of Cheney. She pulled out a sign and started taunting Cheney about how much money he made off the war.

I have no doubt the one that came after Cheney with the knife was part of the same plan.

They will not be the last ones either, I don't think.

They have planned this stuff for a long time.
