Posted on 08/31/2004 12:48:11 AM PDT by djsunzi

I just heard on the Malzberg show on WABC, Moore was thrown out of the RNC by the cops! the cops had to chuck him out at the request of the Associated Press. and apparently the cops were booing him. Does anyone else have any other info?

I know he was caught trying to enter the floor with a "runners" pass.... and he told the NPR people he had a USA Today pass...

but flashing the Loser "L" on his forehead on national TV probably got him ejected!

Haven't heard anything. But I am sure Moore is not a favorite of the NYPD who put their lives on the line on 9/11. I have a feeling that his movie chock full o lies and distortions didn't sit well.

It would be hillarious if the Republicans used Moore as a prop then booted his fat ass out right afterwards.

Filmmaker Michael Moore reacts by flashing the loser sign after being called a disingenuous filmmaker by U.S. Senator John McCain during his speech at the 2004 Republican National Convention at Madison Square Garden in New York, August 30, 2004.

But..but..Fatso said he had to leave anyway to speak at a Planned Parenthood rally. But I'm sure he'll spin it as another example of repression in Ashcroft's America, or something stupid like that.

Check out some of the earlier threads on the convention. AFAIK he wasn't so much thrown out as he was escorted out by security guards after he tried to get on the convention floor without the proper clearance...i.e. paperwork. I'm sure the doors at MSG are wide enough for even Fat Boy to squeeze through.

Filmmaker Michael Moore flashes a messenger pass as he is prevented from entering the floor area during the evening program of the 2004 Republican National Convention at Madison Square Garden in New York, August 30, 2004. Moore was escorted away from the floor area by U.S. Secret Service agents and convention security officials saying that he was wearing the wrong credential.

Moore creates commotion at convention Washington Times ^ | 8/31/04 | Christina Bellantoni

Posted on 08/31/2004 1:31:17 AM EDT by kattracks

Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore made a splash during the Republican National Convention yesterday, first prompting a ruckus in the press corps and then becoming the target of one of the night's biggest applause lines during the speech of Sen. John McCain.

In his speech, the Arizona Republican said the war to overthrow Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein was just and that the crowd should ignore critics, including "a disingenuous filmmaker."

Before he could continue the sentence, Mr. McCain was drowned out by cheering delegates expressing their antipathy for Mr. Moore and his anti-Bush film "Fahrenheit 9/11."

Waiting for the uproar to die down, Mr. McCain smiled and said, "That was such a good line, I'm going to use it again," and repeated the "disingenuous filmmaker" reference, much to the delight of the delegates.

Before Mr. McCain had finished his speech, Mr. Moore was escorted toward an elevator and out of the arena by several New York police officers. When reporters tried to follow, they were shoved back and barred from leaving.

It seemed serious. a caller rang in and apparently Moore was causing some kind of disturbance in the press room, so the AP had to call the cops to eject him...

then as the cops were putting him into a taxi, a couple of the cops booed him and he turned around and made some nasty comments..

Maybe someone can contact AP to confirm the story..

They probably threw him out because he reeks from here to high heaven. Not for nothing, but does anybody ever question why this fat pig wears the same clothes for months if not years on end? It`s always the same black shirt, black coat...THe only thing he changes is his baseball hat. Either he owns 2 million black shirts or he does in fact never bathe or change his clothes. I would say it`s the latter since he seems to never shave as well.

"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win." - Moore

Reminds me of another lying cherub, Al Sadr, causing trouble in Iraq.

I was wondering actually what the setup was...

if Michael Moore being ejected from the floor during an NPR interview was set up...

or John McCain acknowledging him up there, and then him getting ejected right after...

In either case, I am sure footage of him will end up selling his dumb movie.

He claimed that he wanted to leave early, as he was speaking at a meeting of Planned Parenthood. I checked their website, and they didn't have any such thing scheduled. Plus, it was after 10:30 at night, and it's hard to believe that he would need to show up then.

But yeah, an AP reporter was furious with all the commotion Moore was causing. Heh.
