This should be published somewhere (besides here).
More people need to see it.
Perhaps it will be. It has just begun to circulate, as near as I can tell.

I keep in touch with some of my old Vietnam comrades and all of them have a real visceral hatred for the man, especially as more and more of his story comes out, not for his service but for what he did afterward.

The lamestream media may have paid scant attention to the thinking and feeling of the 24 million American veterans. But it is they who hold the fate of this election in their hands. I will quibble with you slightly. I believe it goes beyond the veterans to include all those who are beginning to see Kerry's VVAW activities as a 35 year-old lie that has done irreparable harm. I am not a Vietnam veteran - I am too young. I joined the Army as a volunteer at seventeen, three months after the evacuation of Saigon. But I served in the midst of what Kerry largely created; it lasted for years. I saw the harm and served with SEA vets who lived with it every day. Now others who never served are waking up to it.
From the article: He could have attacked the war without attacking the warrior. He could have questioned policy without supporting the communists' claim that our soldiers were war criminals. He could have kept faith with those who wore the uniform with him. But he did not and he should be held accountable.
I believe the time of accountability has come. We will see it in November and it will echo inside John Kerry's head until the day he dies. He will know that his character has been weighed and found wanting.
The race between John Kerry and George Bush was arguably a toss up. The race between Kerry and honor will be measured as a landslide. Sadly, the DNC and GOP will probably miss its significance entirely.

Please don't refer to them as MOH "winners." The correct term is RECIPIENT. As John Levitow (MOH, USAF, Vietnam) said,"The term 'winner' implies it was a contest. If it had been a contest, I wouldn't have entered."

I read you 5x5.
AM, could you change the word 'winner' in the headline to 'recipient', please?
Many thanks...

Your correction of my choice of words is on point. If I'd thought about it, I would not have made that mistake. I do know, and highly respect, the fact that the men, and women, who bear medals from our military, do refer to themselves as "recipients" and not "winners" for the reasons you state.
I'll remember that, and not make that mistake again.

Your conclusions are extensions of mine. I have only one quibble with your discussion. You end with this:
The race between John Kerry and George Bush was arguably a toss up. The race between Kerry and honor will be measured as a landslide. Sadly, the DNC and GOP will probably miss its significance entirely. I agree with you that the DNC will miss the significance of this. If they began paying attention to "honor," they would have to throw out half of their leaders, and burn the recent history books. However, I disagree about the GOP. The themes of the first night of the Republican Convention make it crystal clear that the GOP understands the question of honor.
