Thank you. I saw that about the injury as I read through the thread, may the officer be well and recover fully. The NYPD has been doing such a great job. I hope they keep their cool and only get in a few blows when justified. This would seem to qualify.
Serious is better than critical obviously. But - with a serious head injury I imagine there could be long-term problems. I'm no doctor - but bad head/neck aches, impaired vision or hearing, lack of concentration? Just a few things that can take this stupid violent act and ruin a guy's career ... and perhaps his family life.

I hope Bernard Kerik gets to interrogate the thug that did this.
