Implosion 101 - Peeking Too Soon!
Honing the Passage ^ | August 30, 2004 | David K. Kittel

For Kerry the arrogance and unending belief in the rightness of his destiny as President didn't carry over to the new media. I don't doubt that if the media had their way the election would be over and they would have won! They oh so want their power back and they see Kerry as a means to this end (see Media Contradictions!)

Unfortunately the bottom line is that because of the blogsphere and talk radio the old media was forced to take a peek at Kerry because of the claims he made and the reality of the Swifties!

Need some proof - try this:

KERRY'S PLAN: "THE MEDIA WON'T HAVE THE NERVE" (LittleGreenfootballs.com)

The source may be unidentified, but events have confirmed this August 10 story at the American Spectator, outlining Kerry’s plan to deal with the allegations from Swift Boat Veterans for Truth: Command Confidence. (Hat tip: M. Simon.)

According to a Kerry campaign source, senior campaign advisers tasked two Washington-based campaign staffers to vet the recently published Unfit for Command.

“The purpose was to compare what that book had with what we had on file from Senator Kerry,” says the campaign source, who said that the research project developed more than 75 instances where Kerry’s recollections, previous remarks, or writings conflicted with the book’s reporting.

“We took some of the most glaring examples, like the Christmas in Cambodia story, and presented them to senior staff, and we assume that those things were put in front of Senator Kerry,” says the source. “We haven’t heard a word about it. All we were told is that it was being taken care of.” The campaign source said that the book was not considered a “serious” problem for the campaign, because, “the media wouldn’t have the nerve to come at us with this kind of stuff,” says the source. “The senior staff believes the media is committed to seeing us win this thing, and that the convention inoculated us from these kinds of stories. The senior guys really think we don’t have a problem here.” Saturday, August 28, 2004

The "senior guys" are mostly Clinton people.

From their point of view, everything is going peachy.

They may not even have to leak Hillary's copy of Kerry's
FBI file (although Judicial Watch has already turned
up a hint of what's in there).

Guess they forgot that the Clintons don't want Cabana Boy to win. Oops!

Has anyone noticed this.

"The New Soldier is trying to point out that there are 2 Americas--the one the speeches are about and the one we really are"

It is from SKerry's book "The New Soldier". I didn't watch the Dim's convention but I did hear the 2 Americas routine and I read then I read this last night and then Guliani brought it up.

Just a curiosity?

Pray tell... what's being hinted?

Be sure to read the two PDFs linked there.

Kerry really is the Manchurian Candidate
(original, not remake).

Which makes this even more important:
China's stockpile of oil helps to bolster prices
(Timesonline) Could be filling their own type of strategic reserve or it could be their way around campaign finance laws. Not to sound conspiritorial, but they did donate to Kerry's 96 campaign (Secret FBI Documents Reveal Kerry Accepted Laundered Contributions) and they were SO deep into evey aspect of how the Clintons governed.
The impact on our economy of these inflated oil prices has been dramatic - every spike in oil prices in the last 50 years has lead to a recession!
Of course they could just be attempting to protect their economy in the event of a major terrorist attack on oil producers.
I will be very interested to see how this plays out over time.

I dont recall Kerry ever peaking. The coordinated media onslaught would have a real candidate polling around 70%. But the only time Al-Qerry crossed 50% turned out to be a fraudulent claim by the LA Times..

That's because it isn't peaking it is the peeking of the media.
