I got to ask you, when I heard Don King (search) and GOP, I was a little surprised at that combo.

DON KING, BOXING PROMOTER/BUSH SUPPORTER: Four more years for George Walker Bush. Four more years for George Walker Bush, the man with a plan that will make America better. We are fighting for a better America, Rita, and that's why I'm here for him.

COSBY: Now, why though, because if you look at a lot of the African- American vote, predominately, goes to the Democrats. A lot of folks are going to be surprised that you're pushing for Bush.

KING: Well, that's the surprise in itself, you see, that we are taking for granted and presumed to be Democrats whether we know what the issues are or not. So we just vote, you know, like sheep running to the slaughter.

There was something on that thread but not based on any facts that I saw. The only thing I have ever read about Mark politically was that he was ""elected"" to give Clintoon a tour once. No one else wanted to do it and I'm guessing they chose him because he was born in Arkansas.

If I ever did know it, I've long since forgotten it. I met Muhammed Ali once. It was around 1982. He was in the Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, and a small crowd gathered around him. His speech was already badly affected by Parkinson's, but he was warm, kind and sweet. It's a good memory of mine.

No Surprise here. Don King kept boxing in the Garden. Don King doesn't like anyone, including Uncle Sam, getting a bigger cut of his fighters' paychecks then he does. Don King takes care of Don King's financial interests.

What we need is Don King to do a pre-fight presser for the president.
