Potential for blowback on President Bush

Does anyone know how to contact the swiftboat vets. I had an idea which may be crazy, but to avoid potential blowback to the president, why dont they run an ad that states "that although President Bush and John Mcain want us to stop, we believe America needs to know the real John Kerry."

I was fishing for gullible people. Looks like I caught one. :) Whatever blows your hair back. I've seen many new posters get trashed moments after someone tosses out the "troll" label. If I'm gullible for trying to protect someone who looked innocent I'll take it...what does that make you?

And when the Democrat nominee was anyone else, Gore, Clinton, Mondale, etc., the Swift Vets never had anything to say. It's KERRY, stupid.

It amazes me that folks don't pickup on: ..."
Yep
Here is my reasoning:
your listed reasons, plus the fact that the troll is calling for the Swift Boat Vets to make an ad refuting that GWB & Co. had anything to do with them.
GWB has stated that fact and an ad to that effect by the Swifties would be meaningless and a waste of good money. They aren't on the defensive Kerry is.
Secondly the troll is uninformed about the Swift Boat Vets, or cannot read and comprehend enough to inquire of them him / her self, and of course, a search on the internet would be extremely difficult to undertake.
The bit about ... "potential blowback to the president" ... was, by far the leading indicator. Such heart felt worry for GWB that he / she may well be a potential Secret Service applicant.
As you can see there are many who would buy snake oil. We've been inocculated! ;)

I posted my comment because it appeared to me that the post in question was odd. You jumped into the fray with a smart-ass comment. I smacked you back.
If it makes you feel good to wear defender of all newbies as a badge of honor knock yourself out. We're all adults here and the original poster was fully capable of defending himself. If getting called a troll is the worst thing that ever happens to him he'll lead a charmed life.

You're correct, we're all adults and I'm sure he can defend himself. Although, perhaps you don't recall being new someplace and being falsely accused and how that might feel...but it's not pleasant. You're also correct, in context, being accused of being a troll is a minor thing.

Fair comment. I understand where you're coming from completely.

"I'm concerned that people that need to be impressed (with the Swiftvets) to vote for Bush have spent their lives on the back side of the Bell Curve."
Unfortunately folks don't have to be on the "front side of the Bell Curve" to vote. We need to explain our side to lots of folks who aren't up to Free Republic IQ standards. Reagan was wonderful at translating complicated ideas into easily understood homilies. Dubya isn't shabby at that either.

Does anyone know for sure if Gardner was on the boat when Rassmann was fished out of the water by Kerry?

You stated to highlander_UV ...
"We're all adults here and the original poster was fully capable of defending himself. If getting called a troll is the worst thing that ever happens to him he'll lead a charmed life." ...
I agree totally. Further, nature has instilled, in some of us, the genetic disposition towards survival. That includes avoiding, or at least investigating, that which appears to be bogus, or possibly not as it seems, come up with a self satisfying result and carry on.
Ours is not the responsibility to prove (in this case) the person is truthful and valid. It lies on them to convince we, the doubters.
Regards
BTW ... Nice Freeper page and quite up to date w/ the photos. ;)

Steve Gardner was the turret machine gunner on PCF-44 boat.
The incident you refer to was the PCF-94 boat.

You are an idiot, I am sorry if I don't have your superior reasoning skills, but if you look at it, the media has the ability to frame issues in a powerful and unfortunate way. How could they pin this on the President when the Vets say directly they are not going to stop? I hope they continue on, America needs to know what Kerry did, especially after the war because there can be no dispute there as it is public record. Some people on this board need to quit looking for black helicopters, not every newbie is a troll.

Does anyone know for sure if Gardner was on the boat when Rassmann was fished out of the water by Kerry? I think he was NOT. Gardner served under Kerry for 2.5 months, starting in December, 1968. The Rassmann rescue was on March 13, 1969.

There ain't no "blowback" except in the fantasies of DU'ers. And a little on Monica's blue dress.

Same to you as well. It just kind of pissed me off to be labeled a troll because I signed up with a new name today. I can assure you that I am what I say I am. Hell I got kicked out of a class because I told my professor that Clinton was a rapist.
To: Godebert
I believe the term "blowback" was invented by the CIA.
