I just finished reading "Unfit For Command." On page 148 it has exerpts from "The New Soulder," and I quote.
"We will not quickly join those who march on Veterans Day waving small flags, calling to memory those thousands who died for the "greater glory of the United States." We will not accept the rhetoric. We will not readily join the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars--"

OK, that's it. I hope those brave Veterans let Kerry know what they think.

You cannot trust anything Kerry says.....especially his campaign promises to Veterans and their families....
Hopefully they will boo him out of the building....
And America will boo him out of public office altogether....

I just find it hard to believe he will try this stunt.

Don't be terribly surprised if, ummm, ah, err,
a "scheduling conflict" prevents that appearance.

It would be great if a bunch of Vet's just get up and walk out when Kerry starts speeking.
You think the press would cover it???

Will anyone bother to turn up?

"We will not quickly join those who march on Veterans Day waving small flags, calling to memory those thousands who died for the "greater glory of the United States." We will not accept the rhetoric. We will not readily join the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars--" Kerry only said he wouldn't stoop to join them, he didn't say he wouldn't take their votes.

It sounds to me as though something like that might be put on a big sign that people could carry while they were Freeping the speech. Might be quite effective and might actually cause some vets to reconsider listening to the speech.

It is amazing that Kerry takes the risk of a cold reception thereby adding to GWB's convention bounce.

Anyone who reads
"Unfit to Command" cannot come away from the book without nausea.
Kerry's own words and actions are unimaginably damning. My family read the book and we're still stunned.
Truly, there can be no worse candidate on earth for President. I'd vote for Alec Baldwin before I'd vote for Kerry.

These despicable comments were posted when kerry visited the VFW and explains the cold welcome he received there.

In point of fact, Kerry joined both the VFW and the American Legion. He's got chutzpah and hubris. Kerry is also delusional. He thinks he deserves the veterans' vote. If you believe the polls, he still has 35% of them fooled.

And considering he is breaking the tradition of not campaigning during another party's convention to pull this stunt. Nice.

Did you just see Geraldo on Fox News, talking to Bill Clinton? Both were blasting away at the Swift Boat Vets. It was disgusting, esp. considering all that has been said so viciously and erroneously about Pres. Bush and they were of course just fine with that.
