I consider it likely that he did since he had used Nixon's name in an earlier telling of the story, back in 1979. A sharp staffer may have caught the error and corrected it in the transcribed version of the speech in the official record.
I wonder if there's any way to determine if that is the case.
A liar by the example of 'Cambodia,' and a nut case for all the extreme deception he concocted in order to look like a legit candidate.
Michael Meehan, Kerry spokesperson, told Tony Snow today that yes, Kerry had been in Cambodia during Christmas and other times!

In the real world...or if you have an "R" attached to your name. Heck this would be the lead story for a week...with every disrespectful reporter demanding dental records and names and addresses of the people you might have dreamed about.
And there is something else that each of us must consider: To Kerry and the Democrat Party, lying is just another strategy; the end justifies the means.
Kerry is the quintessential Democrat.
The Democrat Party is morally bankrupt.
--and this from a man whose parents, grandparents, and great grandparents were all Democrats. If they were alive today, like all decent people, they would renounce and repudiate the Democrat Party--and all its moral depravity--immediately and in no uncertain terms.
My children are all Republicans.
