I agree with you about the observation that sKerry still has some bombs he's going to have to deal with. However, they don't all have to do with medals...

To me, the question right now is not whether or how President Bush wins this, but how much of the ammunition on hand he decides to expend. There are oodles of it on hand - some we all know of, some we most assuredly don't - some more that can be conjured up, and even a lowly AF captain would be able to poke some glaring holes in some of the material sKerry has "proudly" presented to America.

This will be a blood bath, but the question right now is how much time you want to allot to cleaning up after the victory - and whether to leave the body intact, in pieces, or in shreds.

>>he could do with easing up on the old self-satisfied smirk after the punchline<<

I agree. Lose the smirk. Since he started paying attention to his posture after 9-11, it's the only negative in his personal appearance.

"Now this should be a lesson if you plan to start a folk group
Don't go mixin' politics with the folk songs of our land
Just work on harmony and diction
Play your banjo well
And if you have political convictions keep them to yourself"

I enjoy just about all music. Grew up on country and Elvis.

They say he is getting really bad advice to keep dragging up his 4 months in Nam.

The fun part is; their fall back position is Kerry's 19 year Senate record of showing up, sometimes, and being the most hard left, progressive, liberal in the Senate.

Are you content to be ideologically pure, even if it means bringing traitors and socialists to power?

If Dubya loses to an incompetent twit like Kerry, it'll be strictly because he and Karl Rove went out of their way to alienate the conservative base. Of course, I have absolutely no expectation that they'd ever accept responsibilty for their shortcomings. It is more characteristic for them to blame others. C'est la vie.

If so, so be it. Don't expect a warm welcome here when you bitch about the Kerry administration.

Well thanks for the advice,
but having been an active member of this forum for about 4½ years longer than you, I think I have a pretty good idea what to expect.

Houndog is the first song I remember ever hearing on the radio.
That was a year or two before I learned the usual children's songs in kindergarten.

Guess our mothers would be friends. With me it was Elvis records and country on the radio. Cannot remember the first song, although do remember this oddity. Kindergarden graduation and country station playing "I was looking for love in all the wrong places, looking for love in too many place . . ." At the age of 6 that struck me as an odd song to be playing at that moment so I always remembered it.

Kerry is in seclusion, unable to expose himself to any but the most sycophantic interviewers,...

LOL-LOL-LOL
Media head who interview him, will have
to either ask a toughie or risk being
called as sycophantic.

LOL!
Kindergarten life was somewhat simpler and more naive in the '50s.
I knew girls had long hair, wore dresses and had different names than boys.
But that was about the extent of it.

No troll, it's a legitimate comment.
Substantive detail of my dissenting economic opinion may be viewed on many other threads that deal specificly with business, trade, taxation and other economic issues.

I know ain't progress grand. The more we go supposedly forward the more I want to go back. Smaller govt. with transparency.

Pericles (sorry not googling for spelling now) said "Just because you are not interested in politics does not mean politics is not interested in you." And Ayn Rand said something like she looked forward to the day when she no longer had to be interested in politics. The more involved govt becomes in society the less involved the individual is.

the President has let his many detractors exhaust the political capital of their obsessions.

I've been saying this for months... I should probably learn to write better; then I could seem like a noble journalist when only pointing out the obvious.

You are correct.

Now, refer to the fact that Mr. Heinz-Kerry claims in his released documents to have a "Silver Star with "V" device".

No Silver Star was ever awarded with the "V".

There's been a few threads here about it...it's percolating in the media.

That's only ONE thing building.
