Lehman Secretary of the Navy from 1981-1987. Now why would Kerry get his signature on any Vietnam era doc? I remember seeing the doc andI thought it said Sec of the Navy next to Lehman's signature.

Whats' up with that.

The theory I have heard was that it had to be done to replace the lost medal.

Perhaps he lost it somewhere on the other side of the Capital Hill fence?

FR speculation was that it was to get a replacement medal for one of those he threw away back in 1971.

But, you know, ribbons and medals, they were interchangeable back then. But he didn't throw HIS away; he threw some belonging to another guy, and he only threw his ribbons, because he left his medals at home.

[Kerry has told so many different versions of his embellished stories that he doesn't know what the truth is.]

Apparently after he threw his medals/ribbons over the White House Fence, he decided that he should have them (probably for his run for president) so years ago he requested that the medals be reissued.

Guessing for innoculation. He knows better than anyone that his medals/citations etc. are shakey. Trying to hide behind Sec Navy and muddy the waters as best he can.

Or a nutjob who can never receive enough accolades?

Yea, what's up, 3 citations? What's up with that? Is someone trying to rewrite history?

One of the FNC military analysts--Cowen maybe?--said that he had to get copies of one of his citations--it was literally a copy--said that Kerry getting 3 differently worded citations over the years for the same medal is irregular. This Lehman signed one is apparently the 3rd write-up--each one has increasingly glowing language. It seems obvious that Kerry has been puffing up his resume on a steady basis over the years...what a creep.

One theory I heard was that Kerry wanted to 'upgrade' his citation either because he's a vain little twit or because then it would be unthinkable to even question it...or both.

The first citation being from what, a two-star admiral... the next being to a higher ranking one... and finally the Secretary of the navy himself.
