PROTESTS TAKE A NASTY SWING IN BX.

August 28, 2004 -- Vandals hacked up fairways and spray-painted political slogans on a city golf course in The Bronx early yesterday, as protesters geared up for an anti-GOP protest march tomorrow past the Republican convention site. The graffiti — which included the slogans "Stop the War!" and "Politics Isn't Business" — was discovered at Van Cortlandt Golf Course and on nearby lawns and tunnels, parks officials said.
"There was extensive damage to holes 15 through 18," said Parks and Recreation Commissioner Adrian Benepe.

Yeah, it's starting, and it's going to get a lot worse. These people have been itching for a repeat of Chicago 1968. They're going to overturn cop cars, start fires, break windows run naked..... it's going to get ugly!

I seriously doubt the NYPD will let things get out of hand. But there should be a lot of arrests. They NYPD has designated a pier in the Hudson River as a temporary holding area for dirty stinking hippie protesters, if necessary.

I think these protesters, particularly the radicals, actually damage the Kerry campaign and may increase support for Bush. Mainstream Americans just aren't down with this sort of crap.

They should be busted by the Feds..90% of them are from out of state, and they`re crossing state lines to commit a crime. They come in here with the intent of trashing the place. I bet you anything they`ll cause significant damage to something this week. I saw some yesterday hanging leaflets all over the place, which is illegal, but they don`t care. Hey, you if any Freepers are having a counter protest let me know, I live in NYC as well. How do you like the city? Everyone I know is running for the hills. Freggin` Wall Street was virtually abandoned yesterday, I never saw the market move so slow. "Run away! The cockroaches are coming!" My brother told me he`s wearing his Bush/Cheney tee-shirt and is going to carry around a can of Raid in case they try anything with him. Raid, very fitting and so much better than Mace.

Sorry I am not computer savvy. There is a story on frontpagemagazine.com about the ruckus society and it's connections to Kerry's campaign. Seems one of the head anarchists is a Kerry campaign coordinator.
