The widow of Kerry's fellow skipper Donald Droz has mentioned that Droz wrote her from Vietnam mentioning that he and Kerry were planning to protest the war when they came home. This, in conjunction with the mutiny report, makes me wonder if Kerry was networking with others who were being insubordinate. Back in California when Kerry was training there, there had been some incidents with antiwar groups inciting insubordination at military bases and then providing legal support to those involved. A VVAW affiliate called LINK was involved in this. One major incident was the Presidio 27 mutinty, which occurred in October '68, just as Kerry was on his way to Vietnam.
To All, a major PING.
Source information is in PDF file. If you cannot access PDF, see post 23. Post 23 has a BRIEF outline. Please do not miss all other posts. I personally learned A LOT here. I had no idea Hillary Clinton was even remotely involved with Nixon's demise. Come by for more information.
Thanks for the ping. :-)
Thanks for the ping Calpernia.
Kerry also in a news availability there called for Nixon's impeachment as later did the House Judiciary committee by a 28-10 vote before Nixon resigned.
Well, curiously, the resolution for Nixon's impeachment was introduced by Congressman Fr. Robert Drinan, whose campaign Kerry had chaired in 1970:
Watergate-Era Members Recall Impeachment Lessons Learned
Father Robert F. Drinan, who was then a Democratic congressman from Massachusetts, says he considered obstruction of justice in the context of "abuse of power" as president. Drinan introduced the first impeachment resolution against Nixon in July, 1973, for the clandestine bombing of Cambodia, and he quickly decided that the president obstructed justice in the Watergate case.
Thanks for ping.
Stockpirate,
I am exhausted and abou to crash..so I will try and read the pdf. in the morning.
But, Can you please help me with something to look for when I do read the pdf.?
In you breakdown of key points under #9...
9. VVAW sent its leaders (Kerry was a leader) to NV to be indoctrinated by the NV Communists.
Was this before or after the Kasas meeting where Kerry stepped away from the group.
Does it indicate if the trip to NV was before the meeting?
And if so...is there a part that indicates that Kerry may have gone on the trip?
Thanks.
there was another trip for a couple of the VVAW members after this trip, it is in section 11 I think, talked about in the NOV.71 meeting. Not the same group of people.
If this is true than the VVAW had regular groups goin to Moscow and Hanoi.
wow - this info could be hazardous to his political health!

Members of the VVAW made several trips to both Moscow and Hanoi, both before the November 1971 meeting and after the November 1971 meeting.
Some names are mentioned and some are not.
Don't forget Bill Clinton went to Moscow too.
Nope. And when I AM there (perhaps next month or October, not sure) I will for sure be maintaing FR silence until I am back out from that tourist adventure, either in Hong Kong or Bangkok or wherever.
Bump!
Thanks. Got it. That's a lot of stuff and a lot of trails. No doubt it was a KGB operation (at least they supervised it or received occasional progress reports), back in Moscow in June 1971.
Some very interesting information showing up re: Kerry and VVAW.
Did you read the link to Fedora's post about McGovern and 50k to VVAW?
I see she sent you the other info.
Kerry never quit the VVAW, became it's national leader.
The FBI files indicate several trips to Moscow and Hanoi by VVAW members. SOme trips paid for by Communist Party USA.
Yes. This is a very significant development, something that could even overshadow the They Said-He Said thing about the Swift Veterans, as important as that is. This could show a KGB-Kerry connection or at least to his organization. How could he not have had a hand in it or not known about it. We need a Freeper, quick, in the old Soviet archives of declassified documents, in the KGB stacks.

Thanks for the ping!
An American can run around Moscow all he wants, and the more fluent he/she is, the more the authorities will take a dim view of his/her activities. If he/she's willing to pay major money (nowadays much more, due to inflatsiya) they could always find many willing takers. Of course, they'd probably just end up with garbage.
Years ago I thought I was going to write a book on "Lost in Space" cosmonauts, and found lots of people who wanted to give interviews about things that never happened. They even could produce photos and documents. One scientist was an equal-opportunity "deep throat" - he had suitcases full of data on NLO (UFOs), remote viewing, psychokinesis, and whatever you were interested in. But alas, all fake.
Where an intrepid investigator might have better luck might be in the archives of a former non-Soviet Warsaw Pact member state, or former Soviet republic. Some good data may have been overlooked in the basements and attics of say, the Bulgarian or Ukrainian security services. You'd have to make sure that you weren't being set up, again, with data to make the Soviets look bad (I mean, worse).
Viktor Suvorov recounts some humorous anecdotes regarding "state secrets" overseas in his book, Aquarium.
