Two scout sniper teams from 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment recently caught insurgents red-handed as they tried to place a roadside bomb inside this abandoned vehicle along a major highway in Mahmudiyah, Aug. 23. The wires leading out of the vehicle were part of the improvised explosive device. (USMC Photo by Cpl. Joel E. Vaccaro) Photo by: Cpl. Joel E. Vaccaro |

2nd Battalion, 2nd Marines - s n i p e r s - good news, ping!
Well, I hope they're enjoying alluh's virgins.
God bless our troops!
Commendation medals with devices for valor for these troops.
Bump!
"Sniper's out sir!"
Awesome. Good work warriors.
Semper Fi Marines!
Just the way we like it. God bless the U.S. Marine Corps!
A fine piece of work, devil dogs!
The M-16's were a mistake as evidenced by the lack of bodies. Seing the corpsman on the rifle reminds me of when I was in my "A" school when an old gunny told us, "I want you Marines to be good Marines. And I want you sailors to be good Marines, too."
Amen!
Marine Corps Gun Control:
One shot, one kill!
Quick, Silent, Deadly!
Semper Fi,
Kelly
Something is not right with this report. Two sniper teams and no bodies? M-60s?
My guess is that this was regular Marine Infantry...maybe with a single sniper in charge.
I'm glad they caught them and drove them off, but I am a little disappointed there are no bodies and only one captured.
Next time...
That is what is called job satisfaction.
this should motivate the terrorists to STA away...
