"Improvised explosive devices - roadside bombs - are placed every night along Alternate Supply Route Jackson to hit coalition forces when they pass through, earning it the name IED Alley."
Ok, here's some backseat driving: if we know they are going to set these IED's every night, why don't we stop them? Why don't we have snipers there every night? And if we do have snipers there every night, why are the insurgents apparently eluding them most of the time?

Awesome. Good work warriors.

The M-16's were a mistake as evidenced by the lack of bodies. Seing the corpsman on the rifle reminds me of when I was in my "A" school when an old gunny told us, "I want you Marines to be good Marines. And I want you sailors to be good Marines, too."

Something is not right with this report. Two sniper teams and no bodies? M-60s?
My guess is that this was regular Marine Infantry...maybe with a single sniper in charge.
I'm glad they caught them and drove them off, but I am a little disappointed there are no bodies and only one captured.
Next time...
