FORCE the Media to Cover the Swift Vets: What YOU Can Do!
Vanity | 08/25/2004 | Martin A. Knight

Posted on 08/25/2004 10:46:42 AM PDT by MAKnight

Even a blind man can see that the Press is desperately trying to kill the Swift Vet story. They've tried ignoring them, but that didn't work. Then they (i.e. the New York Times, Washington Post, etc.) tried character-assassinating them, but that's not working either (it's not that easy to slash down 250+ people).

The latest attempt is the New York Times' dumb idea that showing that a Swift Vet seven years ago was Karl Rove's father's mother's uncle's sister's cousin's nephew's godson's best friend's lawyer would cause voters to "naturally" assume that Bush is mind controlling all 250+ Swift Vets and recoil in horror.

Either way, there is a story to be told and the Press must not be allowed to ignore it. That's why I am suggesting that the Swift Vets' next ad should focus like a laser on Kerry's (buried by the media) abject refusal to sign an SF 180 form. If this should become public knowledge through an ad campaign challenging Kerry to release his records, the Press would be faced with two horrible choices.

People still remember the Press' going after Bush like a pack of wild rabid dogs on his Texas Air National Guard service (AP even filed a lawsuit) based on nothing more than innuendo from Michael Moore and Wesley Clark (and ironically enough, echoed by John Kerry). If they ignore the SF 180 issue, their credibility is gone, and Kerry is not helped either way. If they pursue it, Kerry is very possibly electorally dead, considering how much he wants to keep his records hidden. If the Press tries to spin it to reflect on Bush, there is still left the question of Kerry's unsigned SF 180.

This is my (very rough general) idea of an ad. The Swift Vets could record multiple versions of it with different veterans i.e. Grant Hibbard, Van Odell, Louis Letson, etc.

But we shouldn't just leave it all for the Swift Vets. Here's something we could all do. Go here and download an SF 180 form, print it (page 2 of the document will suffice), fill in John Kerry's name in the appropriate space and then send it to "Kerry-Edwards 2004, Inc., P.O. Box 34640, Washington, DC 20043". And if possible, print, fill and send off copies to the headquarters of every "mainstream" media organization you can think off (AP, NYT, WaPo, CBS, NBC, etc.). Flood the zone people!!

There is one way for the truth to get out. The Swift Vets need donations to buy more time for their tv ads. We must support them like we support Free Republic with some of our treasure loaned to us by God. The link below can be used for the first or repea donations for the Truth.

Has anyone else seen the piece on Foxnews website that says the official Navy records support Kerry's version of things in 3/69? The official report is signed by one of the SBVT, no less.

Ramsey Clark to Join Panel for Saddam’s Defense

arabnews press release 25 August 2004

NOTE :
Ramsey Clark is pictured below with Kerry and
Vietnam phony vet Al Hubbard
Who was head of the
Vietnam Veterans Against the War movement.

NEW:
FReeper smith288 has an online version of
Kerry's "The New Soldier"
You can read it without downloading pdf files!

From Kerry's "The New Soldier":
Al Hubbard Sgt., 22 Troop Carrier Squadron Aug. ’65-June ’66

Emotions: Walking down the flight line at Saigon past stacks of aluminum cases containing American bodies and past stacks of aluminum luggage containing American currency. Seeing the tight, sad face of an Airman loading the bodies aboard a dirty Air Force Transport and the wide smiling face of a stewardess greeting the passengers aboard a clean Pan American Clipper Jet. Hearing a Vietnamese beg you to leave his country and an American colonel tells you to bomb his country. Hearing a Vietnamese invite you to live in his home, after the war and an American explain why you can’t live in his block, after the war. Flying over barren, brown, safe American held terrain and over lush, green unsafe enemy terrain. Feeling happy to be leaving a country in which you do not belong and sad to be returning to a country in which you are not allowed to belong. Sacrificing a portion of your consciousness so you won’t have to deal with being there and building mental blocks so you won’t have to deal with having been there.

- Al Hubbard, proven fraud who never set foot in Viet Nam. The only Vietnamese he ever met was when he was collaborating with the North Vietnamese in Paris
on the American Communist Party's nickel.
John Kerry's explanation: "He (Hubbard) simply exaggarated his particular position.
But nobody knew it at the time. And those things happen."

the reason dems keep saying 'military records support john kerry's version of events' is because john kerry was known to submit 'nuanced' versions of after-action reports.
the guy who signed off on one of his medals did so based on kerry's report he submitted (have heard that kerry submitted his own name for medals and purple hearts), but when the guy who actually signed off on the medal, which contained language from the after-action report, found out there was no enemy fire and that kerry had lied to get his medals, he was upset....
so the media will continue to point out how a member of SBVFT actually signed off on the paperwork saying he deserved his medal, without discussing why he is now a SBVFT.

and the other guy who got a medal for the same instance as kerry (thurlow) has said he didn't submit an after-action report about enemy fire because there was none, he assumed he was getting his medal for other actions that day having nothing to do with enemy fire.....kerry submitted the after-action report about enemy fire...

kerry will not sign a standard form 180 making his military records public because he knows he would lose the undecided vote if they knew for sure he was lying.....he wouldn't lose the liberal vote because they aren't voting for him, but against bush.

Regarding the official Navy records of 3/69: I'll refer you to Thurlow's comments: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1194761/posts

I am convinced that the language used in my citation for a Bronze Star was language taken directly from John Kerry's report which falsely described the action on the Bay Hap River as action that saw small arms fire and automatic weapons fire from both banks of the river.

To this day, I can say without a doubt in my mind, along with other accounts from my shipmates-there was no hostile enemy fire directed at my boat or at any of the five boats operating on the river that day.

I submitted no paperwork for a medal nor did I file an after action report describing the incident. To my knowledge, John Kerry was the only officer who filed a report describing his version of the incidents that occurred on the river that day.

In addition, Thurlow further has stated in other places that if his bronze star was given based on the enemy fire than it has been tainted by "fraud", and that he is disgusted and "sickened" that an untruthful scenario seems to have played a role in his having been awarded that medal.

These comments were made "off the cuff" by Thurlow when he was ambushed by an OldMedia reporter (I think Wash.Post) showing him a copy of his medal citation for the first time. He did not have time to "prepare his story". It seems quite apparent that sKerry simply made up the whole story for self-aggrandizement, and then submitted himself for his medals.

No, no, no. The swifties are doing great as it is. The mainstream media will only use them to make Kerry look good. The less they deal with this whole issue the better!
