TURN THE PAGE

On that long and lonesome highway, even East of Omaha,
You can listen to the people, asking "Please come do some more",
And you wonder if it's in you,
and you wonder if you've got it anymore...

But your friends just keep-on wanderin' in, the way we always do,
And yer doin' all those hours, and there's nothin' left for you,
and you might just feel like leaving,
But you know you got this job to do!

So there you are, starting a FReep again.
There you go, back in the fray...
Here we come, backin' you up again,
Here we come, we don't turn the page...

Here we go - doin' the fight again,
Here we come, we don't back away...

Believe me, Mr. Seger would feel right at home on a website like FreeRepublic.

Unlike that mewling, pseudo-populist, Woody Guthrie wannabe, Bruce Springsteen.

Feel Like a Number

PERFECT!

I couldn't think of a more appropriate tune/artist to parody KerryLand, which is a place that is permanently stuck in a time warp.

FreeRepublic strikes again!

When I hear that song I see an imaginary calender, laid out in decades, each ten years a page; by the time the saxophone reaches its crescendo, the pages are flitting past like fence pickets at Mach 1.

That, and when that fake president from TV (What's his name? You know, the crazy-ass Roman Catholic actor, always getting arrested for protestin' stuff?), when he was still out of his mind.

Man, I like Charlie Sheen a lot better.

Yeah at least Sheen didn't marry his money. Wasn't Sheen Viet Nam War Hero who went to Cambodia to capture or kill Marlon Brando?

At least Sheen accomplished his mission, Brando is dead.

Jim, me and my spleen thank you. If it weren't for the periodic venting I get to do, I'd be septic.

I couldn't agree with you more.

May he-and his phenomenal website-live on for years to come!

We've still got a few more elections to go before the entire country has seen the light.

"...Jim Robinson has singlehandedly done more to awaken the American people than any 100 politicians. He deserves the Congressional Medal of Honor. I'm not being flip. I mean it wholeheartedly. He has given 100,000's of thousands of Americans the ability to communicate with each other and make a difference in saving the United States.

I pray for him and his family every day. He has been patient with our mistakes, and protected the forum from infiltration by disruptors. I have no doubt God will reward him..."

We signed on for the duration, pal. There isn't any other way.............FRegards

To: gonzo; All

Thank you Gonzo and thanks to all for your kind words.

Next month will be Free Republic's 8th birthday. And it's been a very exciting and rewarding 8 years. We have accomplished a lot in these past 8 years, but we have plenty left to do. Our work is never done.

"All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."

Fregards
