My take on Clark has always been that he's stupid, possibly the most stupid man in American public life in the past 50 years.
I actually view this as a positive step. Too many of the people of this nation don't know Ramsey Clark for what he is. This will help.

The Court needs to focus on the charges. All Saddam's lawyers have is "Look at the behavior if the US!"
