There are about 10-15 letters that the Vietnam Veterans Against the War brought back from North Vietnam. The letters were written by American POW's.

Reading these letters makes one wonder what they endured before doing what they were told.

And Kerry and the VVAW gave their captors what these men bled to not give them.

IF you're speaking of the now Admiral Denton (Ret.) I can tell you a little about that and I'm sure other Freepers can tell even more. Basiclly the NVA and VC made what was shown about aBu-Ghareb look like childs play.

If you're speaking of the story posted the Hanoi Jane crowd went to North Vietnam and their "hosts" made the POWs in the "Hanoi Hilton" write letters for the Hanoi Jane crowd to bring back read the letters carefully and search for meanings between the lines. It had to be that way as the NVA had to "approve" the letters before letting the POWs give them to the Hanoi Jane crowd. Kerry was and still is a part of that crowd.

Still believe there are several still there.
There are several known POWs that never made it home, and there is no accounting for them. Then we have the MIAs.
Most Communist governements are paranoid and use people as pawns. There are still quite a few missing WWII vets that the Russians were "holding" for us till the end of the war.
North Korea is even more paranoid.
The whole document should be required reading in High School.
I know I won't sleep well tonight having read most of it. I had forgotten how bad things in the US were back then.

Kerry and Brant slept in the same quarters,
and Brant used to put Kerry back to be at night when Kerry was sleepwalking.

My feeling, Senator, is undoubtedly this Congress, and I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but I do not believe that this Congress will, in fact, end the war as we would like to, which is immediately and unilaterally and, therefore, if I were to speak I would say we would set a date and the date obviously would be the earliest possible date. But I would like to say, in answering that, that I do not believe it is necessary to stall any longer. I have been to Paris. I have talked with both delegations at the peace talks, that is to say the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government and of all eight of Madam Binh's points it has been stated time and time again, and was stated by Senator Vance Hartke when he returned from Paris, and it has been stated by many other officials of this Government, if the United States were to set a date for withdrawal the prisoners of war would be returned."

Furhter paired down to:

Stated by kerry to Our U.S. Congress which is in the Official Congressional Record, 22 April, 1971.

I'll let ALL of you think your own thoughts about this, however, I cannot for the life of me, picture kerry in any elected office, never mind being Commander in Chief!!!!

Why kerry was not indicted, tried and convicted for Treason and Sedition under the appropriate Articles, We will never know.

The Media SHAMELESSLY hides this TRUTH(In the Congressional Record, dated 22 April, 1971) from the Public!!!! They are equally Treasonous and Seditionous as kerry is!!!!This Blatant Example of the media shows that we no longer have a FREE and TRUTHFUL Press(Straight ALL the Way LEFT of Center)!!!!

kerry had his VVAW which led to the deaths of thousands or hundreds of thousands of deaths in Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia after he and his VVAW accomplished their mission in getting U.S. withdrawal in South Viet Nam. kerry and his VVAW forever tarnished the image of U.S. Viet Nam Vets!!!!

The Democratic Party is no longer the Democratic Party!!!! For them to select kerry and his two forunners Clinton and Gore show they have become the party of our enemies!!!!

We cannot ALLOW this to STAND!!!!

Are you telling me.... you are telling me... that those (un-nameable) ...actually went to North Viet Nam, who was, being funded by communist Russia, at the time, I just read that on another site.... that they went to N. Vietnam to get and bring back letters from American soldiers in prisoner of war camps? This is so outrageously horrible.... my blood pressure is way up, I know. Why, can't we get this out? why????

I had forgotten about those letters. I read them when the VVAW brought them back and they were published someplace, I can't recall.

I don't even want to see them again. They were horrible and gave me nightmares thinking about what they must have endured.
