Fox will cover the speech live...one key question..will Kerry take questions from the press. Will he be asked to release his contemporaneous diaries? Will he be asked to release his complete military records? Will he attempt to mitigate his hideous testimony to the Senate accusing Americans of War crimes?..Will he say he was wrong about being in Cambodia?
Now warmingup in the bullpen..Hillary Clinton...
Terrraaazzzaaa is telling John boy to...(wait for it)
SHOVE IT!!!
this is too funny to watch
After CNN left Kerry, too, I went back to Fox and Racicot was as firm and strong as can be saying there is zero connection between the Bush campaign and the Swift Vets.
He said those that continue to make that assertion are lying and know it.
He made sure to emphasize the matters that President Bush is working on, and said despite Kerry claiming he wants to focus on issues he keeps "excusing himself from the debate".
Excellent.
I'm glad FOXD did that. He made everyone wait for an hour past his scheduled air time and they had people in the wings who were brought in to reply, so they put them on. Kerry gives no courtesy and is owed none. The world does not revolve around him.
And that would be different, how?
**...blaming Bush "and his allies" for trying to "avoid" talking about the issues and instead engaging in "fear and smear".**
Mr. Kerry, why don't you talk about your 20+ years in the Senate then? Why do you insist on talking about Vietnam?
Yep..... My dad was in politics while I grew up. I've been around it all my life. The democrats campaign for the whitehouse this year is the most negative campaign I have ever seen. I have never seen at any level one party so attack and inspire hate towards the other party's candidate. From the opening bell of the democrat's primary it has all been about hating Dubya. Had they focused on each other a little more, they wouldn't be in this fix. They would have nominated someone who is at least possibly electable.
And the Fat Lady is singing.
This speech reminded me of the first time I had sex....big build up and anticipation...but it lasted a few seconds..
"But put the glasses on and:"
Fox back on Swiftvets....
How will JFKerry get back on track????
some guy on Fox says JFKErry bled in Vietnam....
I'm sure the "honest Abe" bust was placed there in the picture just as a coincidence. Sure, thats it. Just a coincidence"
Cooper Union may only be an art school now, but it was once a good engineering school too. Founded by Peter Cooper if I'm not mistaken. An Army buddy of mine had a chem engineering degree from Cooper, and he received some kind of commendation for developing the process for laminating the metal used in our fake dimes and quarters.
**I can't beleive he, or anyone could be this STUPID! **
My thoughts, exactly.
No it was no accident. Nothing Kerry does is an accident. In 1861 Lincoln gave his most imporant speech at The Cooper Union. This is Kerry's way of saying look at me I'm Lincoln
Roscoe also called Dean, "not only out of control, but unconstrained by the truth", with regard to Dean's accusation that Bush has broken the law in (allegedly) backing the Swiftvets.
"We established an American presence in most cases by showing the flag and firing at sampans and villages along the banks. Those were our instructions, but they seemed so out of line that we finally began to go ashore, against our orders, and investigate the villages that were supposed to be our targets. We discovered we were butchering a lot of innocent people, and morale became so low among the officers on those 'swift boats' that we were called back to Saigon for special instructions from Gen. Abrams. He told us we were doing the right thing. He said our efforts would help win the war in the long run. That's when I realized I could never remain silent about the realities of the war in Vietnam."
I don't remember any of this from his convention speech.
I'm curious about a couple of things: was he "ordered" to shoot up villiages indiscriminently, or was he ordered to destroy villages that harbored Vietcong?
What became of the radar and fishing boat incident? Wasn't there some policy about warning fishing boats away from the PCs?
That one's going to my dad.
Kerry seems to be in the mode of responding. Not the attributes of a leader.
D@mn I missed it,
