Kerry's Vietnam crew mates testify to his bravery in new film

John Kerry's former crew mates vouch for his Vietnam war heroics in a documentary being released in the midst of a campaign debate about his actions as a swift boat skipper. "Brothers in Arms," a first film by journalist Paul Alexander, features Kerry and four men who served with him on Patrol Craft 94, the last of three boats he commanded during the war and the one from which he won the Silver Star for chasing down and killing a combatant who threatened his crew with a rocket. . . . In "Brothers in Arms," opening at a New York theater on Friday just days before the Republican National Convention starts in the city, Kerry's mates relate the familiar story of their commander fearlessly ordering their boat to be beached in the thick of an enemy outpost, and hunting down a man who intended to fire a rocket at them. They also recount an ambush during which Kerry and his crew rescued survivors of another patrol boat that hit a mine. . . . In the film, Kerry and crew mates David Alston, Mike Medeiros, Del Sandusky and Gene Thorson talk about the bond they formed under fire and their lives since the war. "If anyone knows the truth of what happened to John Kerry in Vietnam, they do," he said. "Brothers in Arms" is their story."

It isn't John eFing Kerry's military service in Vietnam that counts...

It is what he did when he came home that counts!

Kerry is insane. This proves it. He has been mesmerized by Hollywood so completely that he's now in the film business. First the film at the convention and now this. I would love to go and laugh out loud. At every turn of the phrase, at every photo of Kerry. He's going to be a laughing stock before this is over...oh wait...he already is.

Hmm...Don't think even the WashPost article supports that.

I don't care about his 4 months of being a "hero" I am more concerned about his 30 years of being a commie. Then again its kerry's own fault that this issue is even being brought up.

Shite, another bloody infomercial about John "Chester Nimitz" Kerry. Gag. For a guy who wants to discuss the issues, he sure spends a lot of time running from them like a Frenchman from a pop gun.

the Democrats have been taken over by the knee jerk liberalism that prevails in hollywood. Limo liberals that have no clue what a quart of milk cost. It is so sad that such a grat party steeped in tradition could have come to this. the cult of celebrity is alive and well in the Democratic party.

This proves it. Kerry wants to focus on the issues that are facing this country today. Right? Where did I go wrong here? Why am I confused?

This will play at theaters across the country? How long is it? Do people pay $8 - $10 to watch it?

I am watching Scarborough with the slime Oliphant on.

Joe's got his kneepads on -- it is just disgusting. His bias is so obvious.

He's saying that Kerry's campaign wants this Vietnam debate to continue. They are perfectly happy to keep right on to prove that Kerry's medals make him a true war hero.

Says that Vietnam's a scab for Kerry. When people keep picking at it, he fights back, just like he did turning his swift boat into the fire!

This is a crock. I can no longer listen to. I'll have to wait for the transcript.
Oliphant just slimed John O'Neill saying that he's gotten hefty -- unlike himself and Kerry.

" a first film by journalist Paul Alexander "

Wonder if it's this Paul Alexander :

" John Kerry, Ready For His Close Up, " Paul Alexander
Rolling Stone, April 11, 2002

" Soon Heinz discovered that, for Kerry, Vietnam is a subject that is never far away.
Even in his sleep, Kerry is haunted by Vietnam in nightmares.
The first nightmare I heard, I was actually not with him, Heinz says.
Before we got married, I was sleeping with one of his daughters in this little shed, a little barn, it was.
He was in this little room next door.
Then, all of a sudden, I heard this tremendous banging on the wall.
I said, 'Oh!' And Alex said, 'It's just Dad.' Kerry laughs an uneasy laugh.
So I went back to bed, Heinz continues, and he hit the walls again,
and I said, 'Holy mackerel!'
The next morning, I said,
'What did you dream about?'
He said, 'Why?'
I said, 'Because you broke down the house, almost.'
He said, 'Vietnam.'

BTW- I got this story about Hairy Wallbanger from www.johnkerry.com

More news about the nutcase would wants to POTUS.

David Alston

According to records of Kerry's service posted on his campaign's website, it appears the two men were in actual combat together on two of those days (if at all = my comment)
Whatever the exact dates, Hurley confirmed that Alston was not on board PCF-94 on February 28, 1969, the day Kerry earned a Silver Star for an engagement in which he beached his Swift Boat and chased down and killed a Viet Cong guerilla armed with a rocket launcher.
According to Hurley, Alston was on board PCF-94 during the now-famous March 13, 1969 engagement in which Kerry pulled Army Green Beret Jim Rassman from the water ...

Dale Sandusky

Del Sandusky, the man steering Kerry's boat, told a different version to NEWSWEEK. He says his boat was jarred by an explosion, probably from a rocket, knocking the soldier, Jim Rassmann, off the boat. Kerry was thrown against the bulkhead, injuring his arm. Sandusky says he could see muzzle flashes from the jungle and bullets skimming across the water. Sandusky says he can't remember if anyone was still shooting when Kerry pulled Rassmann from the river, but in any case, the boat was banged up and taking on water. An official report made available to NEWSWEEK shows windows blown out and the engine and steering damaged; it's unclear from the report when the damage happened.
