Yes, there are plenty of good, new pictures! I thought there was going to be a new Dose...we'll see! It's nice to see the President out and about again! He looks energized and healthy--ready for his big speech next week!

Yes, phancy is quite dedicated to those soldiers and making cards for them! I help her out, but she's upstoppable! :o) She does a very good job...we each adopted a soldier oversees through Operation Air-Conditioner, which really got things started. After that, she found a woman (through that site) who sends card to hospitals to wounded soldiers. So phancy started writing cards, and before you know it she practically has her own operation! We've already sent over 200 cards!

We buy blank cards. I'll put patriotic stamps on the front, and phancy will write on the inside (I've done some, but I'm not a very good writer at those types of things and it ends up being kinda silly). She'll basically thank them for their service, say we appreciate it, and tell them to take care of themselves!

I see from Yahoo that the Associated Press are at it again trying to drag up speculation that Cheney ought to be removed from the ticket. Now they are trying to to say that over 50% of the GOP want him removed according to some survey they have done. The liberal media must really fear him to keep bringing this non story up when GWB has been so clear that Cheney will remain on the ticket.

So right, snugs! They're paniking about Cheney. Guess that tells us he's the perfect guy :o) (besides the other reasons).

Yes, GWB couldn't be more clear--it's a shame what the media tries...but that's nothing new, sigh...

I think the media will be even more vicious on all fronts during the convention. I have taken Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off so that I can watch the speaches during the night as they will be Sky and of course FOX but I would suspect FOX will only be hightlights on not full speaches

You sure are dedicated! :o) Those must be really late nights for you...but good for you! I hope you're able to see a lot of the speeches...and of course the FReepers here will keep you posted as well!
Does your satillite get "C-Span" from America? C-Span will show everything! If you go to cspan.org, there should be a live webcast of all of their programs all of the time.
The picture may not be of great quality, but you can hear the speeches...C-Span is basically the channel that shows political speeches and events without commentary or news anchors (yay). It's one of phancy's favorites :o)

No we don't get CSpan I can only listen to what is on the web, I have BBC, ITN SKY News (UK Service) and then CNN, Bloomberg and of course FOX News.

I think you have far more news channels than we do but then of course your country is far bigger than ours.

Too bad about C-Span...I hope you get some decent coverage of the speeches with FOX News and SKY News then!

Sometimes it feels like we have TOO many news channels over here! :o)

On another note...for even more pictures, go to Corbis.com, and put in "Dick Cheney". You will find MANY pics! You can also try "Vice President Dick Cheney".

Well, GWB and Laura were out and about together today! They looked lovely and happy!
And then you have the same old stuff going on...
Oh, did you hear about Cheney's plane? As they were flying, another plane got very close and they had to do evasive maneuvering. Everything was alright, but that must have been a little alarming! Good thing he and the prez have the best pilots!!
