Friends of rocker Billy Joel are pretty amazed by his former wife Christie Brinkley's comments in the press yesterday. I am too. Brinkley took some cheap shots at Joel over his weekend car accident on Long Island. She turned up at the accident site taking pictures, then claimed she was concerned for the safety of her daughter, Alexa.

I just thought you might like to see what a money-sucking leech Christie Brinkley is since last weekend she was bashing Republicans at a Kerry fundraiser in the Hamptons.
Here is what Christie Brinkley's former neighbors thought of her:
The Taubman episode was quite a saga when it unspooled back in 1996. At the time, I spoke with several people who knew the couple in Colorado and none of them had particularly kind things to say about Brinkley. Mostly they were relieved that she'd left town quickly.
This is the Christie Brinkley who left Billy for Ricky Taubman after they were in a suspicious helicopter accident. When Taubman turned out not to have the money he'd advertised, Brinkley divorced him. She took their infant son and paid Taubman $2 million to go away.
I'm glad her plan to marry a fabulously rich guy boomeranged on her and ended up costing Brinkley $2 million.

No matter how pretty a girl is, some guy, somewhere, is tired of sleeping with her.

I've heard the same expression, but more scatalogical.

In her defense, I sure wouldn't want my kid riding with Billy Joel.
He is the guy who, after 3 alcohol related car accidents, stated he did not have a drinking problem, he has an alcohol problem. To date, nobody has figured out what the difference is.

To bad the daughter of David Brinkley turned out to be such a lefty.
I'm not for certian of his politics, but Brinkley seemed to be one of the last genuinely non-partsian TV people.

That is an old old picture. I still like it, it is what I remember when I was growing up.
It is kinda like liking Elton John before you found out he was gay.

On February 4, 1954, Christie Lee Hudson was born in the land of the rich and famous, Malibu, California. Her father was a television writer, who worked on shows such as The Virginian and The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
David Brinkley was not her father.

When Taubman turned out not to have the money he'd advertised, Brinkley divorced him. She took their infant son and paid Taubman $2 million to go away. Some theorized that Brinkley got the dough from Joel. But it was more likely from her stepfather, TV producer Don Brinkley.
