SwiftVets paid to lie?

Posted on 08/23/2004 9:51:29 AM PDT by jim macomber

Just watched an interview on Fox with Kirin Chetry (sp?) interviewing a dem and a rep. The dem's position was simplicity itself. The Bush ads are lies. Period. So are the SwiftVets. And it goes unchallenged. This guy flat out stated that, not only are the SwiftVet ads bald-faced lies, these guys were paid to do it. 'Lash for cash' was the phrase he used in one of those mnemonic rhymes they are so fond of. And it went unchallenged. Oh, one time Chetry said '...but aren't the MoveOn ads doing the same thing?' and the guy said, "Well Kirin, isn't there a distinction between the truth and lies?" Couldn't Kirin have said., "So the ad portrraying Bush as Hitler is true?" But nothing. Nothing. And, given the last word, the rep guy didn't address it or fight it either. It's disheartening.

Liberals = Socialists in this context. True, traditional 'liberals' are against government interference and for free trade.

Rat strategy. When you can't hide the truth any longer, spread lies and deceit to try to debunk it. Man I really detest those bastards.

I believe these Swiftees to be men of honor and integrity. Money is not their bane, only the real truth. The liberals are shaking in their boots, the facade of kerry is fading fast. Bush/Cheney 2004

If Kerry has a nervous breakdown on November 1st and goes completely insane, can he be replaced on the ticket?

Would Kerry get replaced, or is it too late?

Was it too late for Toricelli? The RATs can't and won't play by any set of rules...they're RATs.

How much more grassroots can you get than what the Swifties are doing?

They're not "grassroots" according to the MSM. If hundreds of Americans send in $25 or $50 bucks on their own initiative, it is "financed by a wealthy Texas Republican with close ties to the White House". If George Soros pays $20M to finance it, then (and only then) is it "widespread grassroots support".

The "doomsday scenario" the Islamists fear most is a B-52 dropping Jerry Nadler on Najaf.

Rush says listen to what dems accuse repubs of, and that's exactly what dems are doing.

With that in mind and the dem rep claiming Swift Vets are making $ on this, I'm assuming that Kerry's ever widening band of brothers are getting paid by Kerry Campaign.

I agree marty60 .. the dems are running helter skelter .. they're not refuting the charges .. they're just DOING WHAT THEY DID FOR CLINTON .. they're just yelling LIAR and expecting the public to buy it.

IT'S NOT WORKING! And .. please take note - just because a babe works on FOX, doesn't mean she's conservative. Some of them are - but not all of them.

The dems are not winning, and we need to stop hyperventilating over every little thing they say. Let the dems play their little games .. they think because it worked for Clinton it will work for Kerry .. IT WON'T!! Just saying "liar" won't cut it with the public anymore. The public knows Kerry has not released his records - which would answer all these questions.

What the dems don't understand is it's a NEW DAY and there is a "NEW MEDIA" .. and we're part of it .. and we need to stop whining when the dems continue to act in their normal way. The complicit media, and it's extreme partisan views, has been exposed. A new pollster in the swing states says 6 of 10 have seen the ads, and have changed their minds about Kerry. THAT IS STUNNING.

Rush just finished a whole hour with O'Neill. It was awesome. Rush ask some very good questions (as usual). I'm sure the interview will be on Rush's website later today. And .. it was just announced that O'Neill will be on with Roger Hedgecock this afternoon (3pm PDT).

At Hillary's urging the MSM will start to rip Kerry to shreds.

Kiran Chetry is not the seasoned fighter to send up against the Dem attack dogs in a debate. However I volunteer to go up against her anytime :) I liked her ever since she showed her pisanki on Fox & Friends.

I can't get through either. It's just being inundated with hits. Rush had O'Neill on for an hour -- a great way to get their message and information out.

Depends what you mean by "replaced on the ticket".

Our president is elected by an electoral college system. Voters vote for electors in November. Electors vote for president in December. And, there are laws that prescribe succession for the period of time between December, when the electors choose a president, and January, when the president is sworn into office.

Obviously, an individual person cn become unavailable in unpredictable ways. The system handles it, but the voters might become unsettled.
