I haven't included Jeb Bush because he plans to retire in 2007, after leaving the Governor mansion.

What do you think?

Stike Hagel from that list! He id my senator and believe me there are alot of people angry with him for publicly critising the Pres...if he has a problem he should talk in private, not try to be a McCain redux.

I think the chances of Jeb running are pretty good. What better way to annoy the dems than to run another Bush!!!

I would prefer a new face that has a strong record as a governor. I don't think career Senators make good Presidential candidates.

Mitch Daniels? Assuming he wins in Indiana.

Rudy Giuliani - too liberal

Bill Frist - not tough enough

Condoleezza Rice - way too soon for her

Mitt Romney would have a big advantage in the New Hampshire primary, being the governor from a neighboring state, and what he did with the Olympics in 2002 was pretty remarkable.

I would prefer a current Governer, such as Sanford (sounds like the most conservative)or Romney, with Rice as the V.P.

Truth be told, I would put Rice at the top of the ticket just to see her whip Hillary's candy ass in three debates. I would love to see the look on Hillary's and the MSM's faces when they quickly realize that Hillary is not the smartest woman on the planet.

Eliminate all of the following from your list:

1. U.S. Senators (Frist, Hagel, etc.)
2. Those who have never held elected office (Rice)
3. Liberal Democrats (Pataki, Giuliani)

That ought to narrow your list down quite a bit.
